Good to see the actor Kevin Eldon in it, can't wait to see the Curious Orange make and appearance too...
The Holdor thing made me laugh, what a load of old pants, so they got a 50m headstart in a baron, featureless and frozen landscape, a adolescent girl towing her own body weight (at least) in tripping cripple - how far will they get?

I expect something will help, or a deus ex sort of thing will happen, possibly involving a tree, or bran wargs into a raven, dies, so stays as a raven forever onwards? The Holdor thing made me laugh, what a load of old pants, so they got a 50m headstart in a baron, featureless and frozen landscape, a adolescent girl towing her own body weight (at least) in tripping cripple - how far will they get?

The reasoning is fine, but the short clip showing it just seemed too 'simple' if that makes sense.
Since season 1 we've had these amazing scenes with the WW's turning babies, riding their frozen dead horses, the scene early in the program where they're in some sort of ice temple.. It's all very mythical and exciting.
I was just hoping for something a bit similar or on a similar scale maybe.. rather than just stabbing a bloke tied to a tree.
Plus it was my understanding that the war between the Children and man ensued when the men sailed over from Essos and began taking over Westeros, then the WW's appeared (perhaps because of a god or something ancient), so the Children and man made peace to fight them of, build the Wall etc. I don't think the history between them has ever been explained in much detail in the show has it?

FWIW I agree with you. That whole scene felt hastily written to me - like something out of LOST.

So in next week's trailers...who is that bloke on horseback that rides to Bran?
Benjen. Tonight's episode shows the planning Martin has put in. There's no other reason for Benjen to exist as far as I can see. Davos part just before looks like he's at House Mormont, a Stark supporter. So I guess he's off to round up a posse
Can anyone explain why I should care about Kings Landing anymore? There's no one there of any relevance to any of the interesting stuff and I've no interest in Martell/Lannister/Tyrell fighting each other and/or the Church. I suppose if Cleganebowl happened that could be good, but at the moment I'm really struggling to see how this story line will weave back in with the rest, or develop into anything interesting.

Funny.
Obviously the wall has to be dealt with from the point of view of the WW, otherwise, the North would have been hit already.
The big question is...what is the endgame of the White Walkers?
I see where you're going with this. My view is that the WW are there to destroy the 'First Men'. Now obviously every human has some of that blood in them, but perhaps the focus on JS/Bran is that they have Stark blood - perhaps the strongest remaining 'First Men' bloodline? SilverSixer said:
Is there any particular reason that the White Walkers are after Bran? Is that something which will be revealed in the fullness of time? Or are they not picky and just after everyone eventually and Bran is as good a place to start as anywhere?
Is interesting question. People last year thought that the Night's King gave particular attention to Jon SNow, I didn't really think so, but am now reflecting on that. Considering what we know. Are the Night's Kings Starks? Or connected? Or is it more to do with BRan's gifts? He might be a nice piece of blood magic to sacrifice to bring down the wall?Obviously the wall has to be dealt with from the point of view of the WW, otherwise, the North would have been hit already.

The point about Arya playing herself is spot on, didn't notice that so thanks to the poster.
Lastly, those boobs were simply incredible, if tempered a tad by a warty scrotum...
