Game of Thrones - No spoilers

Oh lucky me. I just found a nice high quality copy of ep06 which might not properly exercise my 55" 4K TV but it'll be good enough.
My family are just about to out to the cinema, so I have about 3 hours before they return. And the house I bought last year has "black out" curtains which are fabulous for GoT "daytime" watching.
In 15 mins, I'll pump up the Playbar and... immerse...
Have all the planets aligned or something?

It's built on top of a hot spring so in winter it's less frozen than most other places in the North. I may be wrong, but it may have a form of central heating too.
In addition to making it comfortable, it means it can hold out against a siege for longer, too.
White walker specific, it also supposedly has magic built into the walls ala The Wall to protect it from white walkers, etc.
Storms End is also possibly a good castle to be in.

As ever, there are theories on this. The heat comes from springs, which some think are a sleeping dragon beneath the walls. There is something about the crypts too, and Stark bones being there. It has it's own giant weirwood tree, it was possibly a place of ancient treekid magic.
It is commented often in the books that there must always be a Stark in Winterfell...for what reason...maybe it cannot fall if a Stark sits there?

Ok, I think we're clear timewise now at least...
Who is Benjen?
Who's the dude who was revealed in the dining hall where the red wedding went down? He's not nice, I remember that. And a bit wet as well iirc?
Is that black water? What is black water and does that have anything to do with the guy who killed his father on the bridge and wants to build 1000 ships. Or is that something to do with Fingers?
I liked this episode because for the first time this series I have no idea what's going on.
Plus since when has the fat guy been been a Lord or son of a Lord?
Oh and what is the deal with Brienne's sword carrier kid. Wasn't it suggested that he was (or had the potential to be) a big deal?
