Bit of a hangover today so instead of doing some work I have created the wheeler dealers drinking game. Use it on the new series which starts in a couple of weeks.

The amounts are based on drinking pint(ish) glasses of medium strength beer/cider. Please enjoy responsibly.

Mike says he is a 'Wheelaa Dealeraah' - Drink 3 fingers
Mike mentions his 'Size 10s' - Drink 2 fingers
Mike mentions 'Mrs B' - Down remaining drink
Mike says "'Old out ya hand" - Drink 5 fingers
Mike uses an 'internet auction site' - drink 3 fingers
Mike sits on the bonnet of the car - Drink 2 fingers

Edd changes a track rod end - Drink 3 fingers
Edd breaks out a new and very expnsive tool (see laser wheel aligmnet, boroscope to undo some nuts, the boydwork puller in the Ferrari episode etc.) - Drink 2 fingers
Edd is wearing a short sleve t-shirt over a long sleve t-shirt - Drink 3 fingers

Paul is drafted in to help - Down remaining drink
Project goes over budget - Drink 2 fingers

If you don't drink you could make some bingo cards and play it like that instead!

biggrin

and..
shrieks "Wooohooo" on a test drive - drink 2 fingers
Sells car for a lot less than he told Ed he would get for it - drain glass.
Talks about profit made with no recourse to Ed's time and effort and need to earn a living wage - refill and drain glass.

Couple points for Mike coming back halfway though and saying "wot av yer dun Ed, it looks the same".

Another point for when he scuffs the underside of the car and beeps the horn upon arriving at the worshop (maybe 2 if Ed opens the door at that exact point biggrin)

Another point for references to Ed "working his magic".

And more points for something that Mike (after stating he knows car X "inside out") says is something minor which turns out to be a major issue.

I think it's best to video WD, buy a crate of beer and not watch it on a school night biggrin

I am reporting the lot of you to an alcohol health lobby. This game could have disastrous consequences!

If I have had a few cold drinks before viewing WD I can't help but shout out in a faux posh accent "Hold your hand out, Fellow!" when Brewer is attempting a negotiation.

I may have to seek professional help.

There should be a "down your drink" option for when Mike says "Ed, we've done a cracking job, and do you know what? I've priced this at £xxxx and I won't take a penny less!", then takes less.

Really like Wheeler Dealers. So what if a bit of it is staged - I'd prefer to have it like that than not at all. Plus Mike and Ed seem like really nice guys.

Every time Mike says:

  • "Predictably, the phone fell off the hook"
  • "This fella looks like he's hot to trot"
Drink 3 fingers

Every time you end up thinking 'Why didn't they clean the carpet when he had all the seats out' Turn off the TV, have a glass of Whisky then go to bed.
