Last nights treat on 3d was... Pompeii.
Sort of like a really bad version of Gladiator plus a volcano.
Rank rotten.

I used to watch it quite often and thoroughly enjoyed it, nobody else did! Tim Curry's accent is amazing in it. Another around that time was '13th Warrior', Banderas learning a language just by listening to them talking, brilliant.

Oh I wasn't dissing it, ridiculous story but very entertaining...might watch it again this afternoon , I actually bought the DVD. It's a travesty that neither have been released on blu ray in this country.

Sex Tape, and believe it or not only cos herself wanted to go. What could be wrong with watching Cameron run around in her undies for and hour or so I thought.
Never, and I repeat never has a male actor ever gotten so on my nerves during a film. The guy actually looked like he was pretending not to act. Even Cameron couldn't save it. Left after 40 mins. Horrendous stuff.

But it loses points for killing of Bruce Campbell in the first few minutes

Inbetweeners 2.

I thought the first one was mediocre so I thought I'd chance the second incarnate.

I lasted about 30 minutes before switching off having not laughed once!

Recycled jokes, hammy acting and a non existent plot rendered it unwatchable.

The American South. Call me a cynic, but the producers of that movie knew damn well how to play it to get an audience. Didn't they also get caught out pretending it had a papal endorsement, per some earlier religious retelling? All the in pursuit of the Holly Dollar.

I came here to post just this. We watched this at the weekend. What an utter pile of ridiculous, tosh-infested nonsensical manure. Quite how any actor who any of might even vaguely heard of in the past, put their name to this, I have no idea. Avoid at all costs. I'm usually a night-owl in terms of staying awake but I actually fell asleep before the ark even floated (mind you I'd endured about 2 hours of crap to get to that point).

Don Jon.

From what I could tell it was basically a film about porn and wking. Completely unlikeable lead character (that Gordon-Levitt bloke who was in 3rd Rock) who is addicted to porn, falls in love with Scarlett Johansson, still watches porn. Scarlett dumps him for this so he ends up with Susan Sarandon, who puts him off watching porn. Film ends, and I'm still not entirely sure how it ended, or what the point of the whole thing was. I do know it's an hour and a half I'm never getting back.....

It was Gordon Levitt's directional debut.
He wrote himself as a womaniser, with Johansson as his girlfriend.

From that POV it's brilliant biggrin.

Oh, and calling him the kid from 3rd rock, while accurate, doesn't really do him justice. He was great in movies like Dark Knight Rises and Inception amongst others. Similar to referring to DiCaprio as "Jack from Titanic".

Btw, I (unknowingly) started watching Battlefield: Earth this weekend. Was 1/3th through till I dawned on me. /thread.

Jack Ryan -Shadow Recruit. Thought I might have enjoyed this but it's really dull. I like Chris Pine as a young Shatner don't think he was right for this film.

Even Kiera Knightley looked average!

3/10

Max Payne.

I'm a fan of Dieselpunk, Film Noire, Neo-Noire, and I have played some of the Max Payne video games.

I did not like this film though.

Also, the assassin chick was Meg Griffin???

Watched the same, thought the same, scored the same - chris pine looks too adolescent to take seriously in CIA hero role.

On the other hand I quite enjoyed Don Jon at the cinema

Mega Python v Gateroid - Wow. Just wow. So. bad.

The "actress"/singer Tiffany is also in it. One of the exchange of lines between her and the singer Debbie Gibson was this:

"I think we're alone now"
"There doesn't seem to be anyone around"

I turned over at that
