I also don't get how firing in to a grid can hit something - The grid would be bigger than the weapon. Non?

Rihanna though. That was level 20 bad acting though. Truly awful.
She'd make a good action star though since she's used to taking a beating getmecoat

I watched Hummingbird with Jason Statham this weekend.

Now normally you know where you stand with a Statham film (usually an ex military bloke trying to live a normal life but something bad happens to his wife/gf and he then sorts it all out/meets someone new) so I was fairly content to stick it on, talk crap with a mate and have a few drinks.

Only nothing happens, perhaps 2 fight scenes & a lot of (admittedly well shot) scenes of him poncing around London.

Oh, he does end up sexing up a nun though.

Had the misfortune to watch two stinkers this weekend -

Only God Forgives - think Drive but infinitely more pretentious and less dialogue (very pretty visuals though) 1/10

The Man with the Iron Fists - when a non-movie maker tries to make a fanboy martial arts homage - awful 2/10

remember a game where you name a grid reference and see if you hit your opponents ships?

Can't quite remember what is was called though....

... Or do I deserve a whoosh?

I thought it was OK. maybe the action was a bit toned down from his usual levels, but it was trying to be more grounded.

The Zero Theorem - Managed to reach 45 mins still none the wiser and was tempted to eject and move on with my life. Watched it to the end and wished I had bailed out. ste

Maps to the stars.
Hooray a new Cronenberg film.

Oh.

The cinema owner who announces the film came on, said something along the lines of "well, you're here now and if you enjoy massive over acting you're in for a treat"

It's not good. It's not good at all. It does have some er, 'interesting' moments but I would not recommend.

Gallowwalkers - Wesley Snipes. Poor, poor, poor. Some reasonable moments but a wasted opportunity frown 20%

I watched some of a film called Balls of Fury the other night. It was billed as a comedy starring Christopher Walken but I didn't see Christopher Walken and in the 20-30 minutes I watched I can honestly say I didn't even smile once.
