Gone Baby Gone.

Another one of Ben Affleck's directing attempts, but this time he gets his brother in as the lead "star"

As a film, it's not that bad. It's pretty well shot, the dialogue is ok (apart from a couple of scenes where the main character thinks he is Muhammed I'm hard Bruce Lee when talking to people in a bar) and the story does draw you in.
I thought it was a great film and as for Affleck's directing 'attempts'; I think I've really enjoyed every film he's done so far.

The Interview - expected dross, actually - laughed a lot! James Franco seemed to have a blast if nothing else!

The Hangover. Utterly devoid of entertainment. Managed twenty minutes I think, got tired of the clichéd caricatures and deleted.

Unbroken

Tedium. Unbroken tedium. You never give a toss about the hero as he displays no personality whatsoever. So he crashes, floats in a life raft for a bit, gets captured, that's half the film. Remaining half is him being beaten up by Japanese prison camp dude. No character development, no story, just beatings.

Red Dawn - Great idea, remake an already dreadful film and make it more dreadful. It almost crosses the line over to the 'so bad it's actually quite watchable' camp. Almost....... Whatever was Chris Hemsworth thinking?

Hansel and Gretel - Hmmmm. I'm rather partial to Gemma Arterton, but I'm not sure why she decided to speak with an American accent. Jeremy Renner should have known better. The premise had potential. Hansel and Gretel kills a variety of witches, with Gretel dressed in leather trousers and a low cut blouse. What's not to like...? Actually, a fair bit. Just about passed the time. Did I mention I'm rather partial to Gemma Arterton?

American Warships - horrendously acted and awful CGI
April Rain - comedic acting combined with terrible editing and directed by someone clearly suffering some mental illness. Also has Luke Goss in it.
Arachnoquake - awful but at least it's not supposed to be serious with that title.
are you watching some A-Z of crap movies, in order?

Yes, massive disappointment. I bought it on BD because I really wanted to see it (I got it at a good price though) and is one of the few films that I've turned off partway through. Usually if I've paid good money to see something (as opposed to watching on telly - I don't Torrent on principle) I'll at leach watch it all the way though.

Thank God it's not just me then! All my mates raved about this and I thought it was a load of rubbish and not funny in the slightest.

If you felt like that about the first - do not watch the third.

It's utter st.

In fairness it is a direct-to-video Mockbuster of Battleship, which in itself has appeared on these pages, so this is hardly surprising. smile
I do love the names that The Asylum give their mockbusters. American Warships was originally going to be American Battleships but had to change it due to legal reasons. SyFy is currently showing Age of Tomorrow which makes American Warships look like Oscar material. biggrin.

Devil's Due. A bunch of sub standard shaky cam "horror" based arse.

Take Paranormal Activity, add Satan, you're pretty much there.

The Counselor... I've seen it mentioned a few times already on this thread, and after just now giving it a 3rd go, mostly due to nothing else on, I felt compelled to nominate this horrid film.

Usually I can find something to take away from even the most dire of films, but baby Jesus on a stick this film is a flop all around!!!

From the stale acting of all involved, to an out of nowhere appearance of Rosie Perez!!! And here is something I noticed this time around that once I became aware of it it was impossible to ignore; if you end up watching this turd of a film, try to keep count of how many times they address the main character whom the film is titled after, beginning each dialogue with, "Counselor" - "And Counselor..." - "Oh and don't forget, Counselor..."
Holy HELL!!! COMPLETE GARBAGE!!!!

1/5.... It made it on the board just slightly only because the erotic scene between Diaz and Cruz made Mr Winky perk up an d show interest LOL

Left Behind

One of the few occasions I've decided to watch a film that I've never heard of without checking out review scores first. What a mistake.

Nicolas Cage has made some truly awful films in the last decade but I continue to hold out hope for another The Rock, Face/Off or Con Air.

This is not it.

Left Behind has not a single redeeming feature. A truly dreadful script, diabolical acting that wouldn't make it in a Nigerian daytime soap opera, a crap idea and the oddest soundtrack to go along with it.

Awful, awful, awful.

0/10.
Similar to you, only I read a quick review online before watching....mentioning millions of people vanishing and the world being in complete chaos and disaster. I thought "that sounds bloody good, Nic Cage in it too, must be a good budget one, wonder why I've not seen it on the Good films thread?"

F00k me.

Just watched "A million ways to die in the West". Shockingly bad. I love Family Guy, but this and Ted prove he needs to stick to cartoons!

Have we had Sabotage yet?

Truly truly dire. Somehow, Arnie's acting is even worse, the action scenes are crap, the plot is weaker than a weak thing and just no!

I watched this at the cinema and thought it missed a little, watch the 'unrated' version on BD over Christmas which is about 20 mins or so longer and it was miles better, much funnier and flowed better. No idea why they put the edited theatrical version out.

Agreed it's not as good as Ted (was never going to be as good as that one) but worth a revisit if you see the extended one.

I've highlighted the one thing that definitely should have set alarm bells ringing!
