Bad Films I watched this weekend

While not fantastic, It was better than at least the first Hunger Games film, I thought - No idea why Hunger Games movie did so well in comparison
(Yes, I have 3 daughters - No, I could not be bothered to leave the room when they were watching!)
I find them all a bit daft and to be quite honest, dull. I've successfully fallen asleep watching the Hunger Games 1 & 2, plus Divergent. Some of the best sleep I've had to be honest. (Yes, I have 3 daughters - No, I could not be bothered to leave the room when they were watching!)
Another film I'd recommend falling asleep to is Percy Jackson and his gobste friends (I've forgotten the actual title).
Just one of the Hunger Games copycat films. They are all (including HG) painful to watch as they are aimed at early teens, and feature a female protagonist who is 'special' in some way and fights back against 'The Man'.
You can see why teens like them, as their whole life is one adult-inflicted injustice after another.

Jupiter Ascending
Considering the money that was obviously poured into this film, why couldn't someone actually bother to provide a script with bit more depth than this? The CGI was, admittedly, very good but the script was thin and some of the actors were unconvincing.
I think that this sums up perfectly what's wrong with many films made for cinema today. Some gorgeous visuals and SFX (loved the dragony things) but overall a total mess 3/10
The Green Lantern.
Terrible. When it starts with robot planes that crap out at 50,000ft you can tell nobody has done any research into the 'real' things in the film. Let's not even talk about the helicopter crash. Then the characters are one dimensional, the plot is sillier than it needs to be the FX and pretty bad and the acting is wooden.

Sex Tape, just don't bother. It is possibly the only film which could be made better if Adam Sandler or James Franco was in it.
Just think about that and choose another film to watch!

Cliched, hackneyed and contrived.
Not often I get dissapointed at a movie, but left me actually annoyed at how bad it was.
Are you a fan of the Marvel films in general Pesty?2/10

To me, Marvel is now to cinema what sugar is to the food industry. Just too much of it everywhere.
