It is, isn't it!? I like the film myself, but then, I like those depressing films from the 70s.

I'm not sure I approached this one right. My wife enjoyed it but I thought it was too silly with really crappy CGI and unbelievably bad acting from people who are normally superb. The main cast seemed entirely like fish out of water. SLJ's lisp was just daft, Colin is no James Bond, and Mark Strong's accent was distracting. And the main "kid" was someone I couldn't have cared less about.

And the main "kid" was someone I couldn't have cared less about.

Elysium really was a stinker wasn't it. Not as many "WTF? That makes no sense at all, to the point of being totally illogical" moments as in Prometheus but it was pretty bad. "WARNING: Organic material detected in the radiation bay thingy. f

If he casts that bloody Saffa due that he pulled from obscurity that is in all of his films as an android then I swear I will not watch it.

I had been dozing on the sofa and awoke to find myself watching it. It's so bad, it's almost good. The scenes they've lifted from the big budget smash, but re done on a budget of about a tenner, are pretty incredible. There's some fantastic over acting too. I should have hated it but just can't.
