What a depressing ending

Had to watch the Buck Rogers in the 25th century pilot to cheer my self back up

It is, isn't it!? I like the film myself, but then, I like those depressing films from the 70s. biggrin

Mad Max Fury Road.

No story, it's just a chase for half the film, they then turn around and it's a chase in the opposite direction for the other half...how does a script like this get the 'go'? How long was it it, a page? Why would Hardy be in this?
Film Company - "Look Tom, a big case of money"

Makes me wonder. He didn't come across as that type. But he's inked a several film deal, so maybe the numbers were astronomical...and considering his input into the film, he must be laughing.

Probably a " Stick your name on this commercial big budget pile of dog sick and we'll fund a film you actually want to do" Kind of deal.

I'm not sure I approached this one right. My wife enjoyed it but I thought it was too silly with really crappy CGI and unbelievably bad acting from people who are normally superb. The main cast seemed entirely like fish out of water. SLJ's lisp was just daft, Colin is no James Bond, and Mark Strong's accent was distracting. And the main "kid" was someone I couldn't have cared less about.
This!!

Poor film IMO

I didn't hate it but I won't rush to watch it again.

Yeah, that'd be worthwhile.

I saw Chappie. Laughably bad, with a few redeeming features. Not a patch on District 9.

It really isn't good is it? Damn shame as had a lot of potential to be interesting.

After this and Elysium I'm wondering if Blomkamp is the new M. Night Shyalaman. I'm now officially concerned about his Alien sequel, especially after the turd that was Prometheus.

Elysium really was a stinker wasn't it. Not as many "WTF? That makes no sense at all, to the point of being totally illogical" moments as in Prometheus but it was pretty bad.

Agreed. I have a horrible feeling that from a decent start, Blomkamp's films are getting progressively worse.

I'm also concerned for the Alien film, as a huge fan of the films.

If he casts that bloody Saffa due that he pulled from obscurity that is in all of his films as an android then I swear I will not watch it.

I want to put a smily here but I'm not joking...

Titanic 2.

I had been dozing on the sofa and awoke to find myself watching it. It's so bad, it's almost good. The scenes they've lifted from the big budget smash, but re done on a budget of about a tenner, are pretty incredible. There's some fantastic over acting too. I should have hated it but just can't.

I watched it too. I thought it might be so bad it was good, but it was in fact so bad I simply turned it off after 45 mins.

I started, but could only manage about 20 minutes of it...

I still have Strippers v Werewolves to watch but I'm not sure if it falls in to the category of "so bad it's good"...

Thinking about it now I actually liked Shyalaman's first 3 films (Unbreakable being my favourite), therefore Blomkamp's record is considerably worse...

The Equalizer - Denzel Washington plays a vigilante figure. You really do not need to know any more than that to write the script yourself or imagine how it unfolds. He can't need the money, Shirley? 4/10
