Transcendence...

I've not been that dissapointed in a film in a very, very long time...

Can't even think of a rant, it was just awful.

I have read a couple of reviews where the word 'pretentious' has been used in its description...

The trailer is what got me and my friend interested and she pointed out it was on in 30 mins so we went for it.

It really was a waste of money, it could have been a really good film but it was truly awful.

6.8 on IMDB and 18% on rotten tomato when I checked earlier today...

Anchorman 2
When compared to the original it's just not even remotely on the same level. It's not funny at all. Quite dissapointing!
Wow! That's incredible!!! I watched 10 minutes of the original and said to the wife "Is this MEANT to be funny?" - We didn't watch any more.

So, either 2 is brilliant or it's the worst film ever!!! biggrin

I have to agree - marginally less amusing than watching a loved one being autopsied.

watched two stinkers this weekend, the aforementioned Lone Ranger and Hammer of the Gods(utter tosh apart from some good fight scenes with lots of blood.
Oops I have Loan Ranger to watch. Is it really that bad? Ill give it a go and see how it pans out.
Lone Ranger - its not terrible, its just not good. Its hard to watch, its all over the place, you couldnt care less about the LR himself (Armie Hammer just isnt a leading man) and Depp just plays a pirate in indian getup. We persevered and it took 3 watches of 45 mins each to finish it.

Avoid it - you'll get nothing out of it but boredom and regret.
It's a total meh-fest.

Found Johnny Depps crinkly nose twitch every time he spoke really annoying. Need to watch another of his films to see if I've just not noticed it before. Fairly certain he didn't do it in Donnie Brasco?

In fact after Pirates, Willy Wonka and Tonto, it's getting hard to remember stuff like Donnie Brasco.

I normally like Terry Stones films however this one fell very short.

White House Down

This seems to have been made by 12 year olds for 12 year old Americans.

Avoid and watch Olympus Has fallen instead

I just got round to watching the Woman in Black, the new version.

Oh my giddy aunt, it really isn't a patch on the book or indeed the 1989 TV version.

Just a constant attempt to make you jump for an hour and a half.

World War Z.

Some good effects but one can't create a sense of peril when your protagonist is seemingly invincible (surviving plane crashes and large metal shards piercing his abdomen).

I understand the book is better?

I, Frankenstein.

Imagine Underworld without Kate Beckinsale. Really? What's the point?

The worlds end - not funny. Seems half hearted by pegg and frost.

I'm sure someone will be here to tell me I'm missing something but I really didn't rate it.
Hot fuzz and Shaun of the dead were silly funny films but this was just poor. Slow start, terrible characters, more crappy aliens.

I too love Shaun of the Dead and, albeit to a slightly lesser extent, Hot Fuzz, but didn't like The Worlds End at all - perhaps it's a law of diminishing returns thing....
