I would class my wife as a girls girl, but she really likes Dexter (along with the usual Desperate housewife's etc)

You never can tell until you give it a try.

We love Dexter but are up to the same point so no way is she watching that on her own!

If you like Dexter, I'm fairly sure you will love Six Feet Under. Michael C Hall is one of the main characters. Comedy / Drama set around a family Funeral Home.

Blackadder. Even girls have a sense of humour. Sometimes.

Frasier is also worth considering.

Entourage? Have been watching the most recent on Sky Atlantic at the moment, and the starting box sets are bloody cheap on Amazon at the moment. Plus, I find it very funny and a good watch. Each episode is only 30 mins too so easy to break up into manageable times if she wants to watch one or two and do something else.
