Chris Huhne... going soon?
Discussion
Chris Huhne seems to be in need of some friends at the moment. I wonder where they all are? Does he have any friends, or has he stabbed too many allies in the back?
First we see revelations about possible PCOJ with the speeding points. Next, somebody leaks a letter from Vince Cable, which attacks Huhne's ridiculous windmill plans.
There are rumours that Huhne is avoiding the press today, and he apparently failed to appear in the House for his own energy bill today.
This video shows the kind of person that we are talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIke19Wkr14
Personally, I feel that the sooner he goes the better.

I wouldn't put it past him to resign, claim the expenses payment that former ministers can have because they are not allowed to take paid employment for one year.
Then next day after resignation go knocking on the door of various energy and windmill manufacturers.
Note, I'm not saying he has done this, I'm saying I would not be in the slightest surprised IF he did it. Just to be clear in this litigious age.
Should somebody tweet it?

Certainly seems to be skating on thin ice doesn't he?
If he's not gone soon he's got some friends in high places!
That's the point. He doesn't seem to have any friends. If he's not gone soon he's got some friends in high places!
I get the impression that he has been a bit ruthless on his way to the top. Being ruthless can reap dividends in the short term, but eventually you end up with too many enemies.
The bookies seem to have him as odds on favourite to be ne next cabinet minister to leave his post.

This is where Clegg should have realised that he isn't capable of being part of a team. "Let me finish." That's the rhetoric you use against opposition, not your party, or your boss. Clegg's inability to spot talent is astounding. Laws, I believe, would be the most useful asset from the LibDems, and deserves another shot.

Damned shame he got found guilty of six counts of wrongful expenses today then. Let's wait and see what the punishment might be before we restore him to the Cabinet..."But the Parliamentary commissioner for standards has made clear in his report that there is no evidence the MP made his expenses claims with the intention of benefiting himself or his partner"
He's one of, and possibly the, sharpest of the LibDems in my opinion. What he did was stupid, but was influenced by something very personal. The punishment should be minimal.

I agree. He could legitimately have claimed the money anyway, but chose to keep hi relationship quiet."But the Parliamentary commissioner for standards has made clear in his report that there is no evidence the MP made his expenses claims with the intention of benefiting himself or his partner"

There is no talent in the LibDems though. They are a party that existed purely to appeal to people who won't vote Labour or Tory. There isn't any real substance to the party, and there has been no real scrutiny on their candidates until now.Trouble is that the each time a Liberal is put under a bit of scrutiny they fall apart.
Frankly its amateur night.
