It already does that as evidenced repeatedly.

So what is your proposal in detail.

The other side of the argument, the one in favour of prison sentences for points-swapping, would be more convincing if it didn't come mainly from those who make no secret of their loathing for Huhne.
Desperate and ineffective.

I would apply the same principles to the Pope or Mary Poppins.
To be fair, my loathing of Mary Poppins is far greater than any uufriendly feelings I may have towards the lovely Mr Huhne and the fragrant Ms Pryce.

boring when people restrict their support for their position to negative comments about the opponent's position

How long does it take 3 PHers to change a light bulb?

One hundred and thirty two pages and counting... as they argue non-stop over which way to screw (each other).

I can understand your not enjoying this debate.

Technical legal term hehe

Yes and it's accurate unlike your misdescription.

Can I just interject here to ask what you expect to get from this thread? You have your views, clearly, and seem willing to talk the thread to death is what seems like a ceaseless attempt to get the last word.

If you've had some pretty decent legal minds fail to convince you of their point of view, and have equally failed to convince said people of your point of view, is it not time to move on?

Are you serious? You must be thinking of someone in particular? Perhaps there's someone here who is a 'legal mind' without it being known that he is engaged in legal doings on a professional basis, because those that I know of may indeed be clever people but have been unable to put forward a coherent argument in support of their position. Instead they have relied on ridicule and proof by assertion. That would seem to indicate that they are in fact arguing (if we can call it that) in support of an untenable position.

Well to reiterate.

You say all you are asking for is a sliding scale.

It's then demonstrated, once again, that there is a sliding scale in place.

You reply that you need to see specific data relating to the specific offence.

Again you are reminded that a sliding scale does operate in relation to that specific offence and there is a means whereby you can obtain that data and ask for a modification.

But you repeatedly, when asked over many months, wilfully refuse to answer what your specific proposals are.

Firstly saying it needs minor adjustment only. Then when pressed saying it needs careful drafting. Then reverting to complaining nobody understands you.

Sorry but the credibility and deliberate obtuseness displayed reaches new depths.

As far as I am concerned the position is that the guidelines already are that PtCoJ in relation to speeding could attract a custodial sentence but don't always dependent upon mitigating or aggravating factors specific to the case.

As it is you who wants a change it's your job to propose the wording. Seeing the amount of input so far from you on this thread it is a cop out to reply well it would need careful drafting.

By all means revert to the ad homs you posted many hundred pages ago. I have broad shoulders and a thick skin but by no means unhinged.

Good day.

The thing is, that's not right.

The non-points you make have been addressed genuinely and repeatedly and then again.

Based on your post above, you appear to have started trolling in earnest at this point.

Then you will have no problem either summing these 'addressings' up here, or quoting them.

I'll be amazed if you do either.

Team trolling, neat.

Do you really expect anyone to go back through the thread just to copy and then paste what they've already said n times just because you ask? If you didn't get it on those n occasions there's little prospect now.

That doesn't excuse the facile reasoning by assertion 'nobody has addressed anything' which was certainly delivered deadpan in your post but it's better suited to a bedpan.

Re-read the existing replies to your tendentious offerings, over many pages of this thread, this time for understanding.

Enjoy your amazement when you re-read relevant posts smile

That was so predictable as to be very predictable indeed.

You've had your head nailed to the coffee table, but you are still wriggling.

Mrs TB is having lunch using the coffee table. No nails in sight smile

You've had your non-points nailed on this thread, which is why you now post as a childishly offensive troll. Good work!
