OK Don...
1/. Has the 'sadness' you claimed you'd feel if the old harpy got gaol kicked in yet?
2/. You said you'd explain after the sentencing why you have taken such vicarious pleasure in the Huhnes fall from grace...
So, are you going to enlighten us?

Nope he's going to prision because he believes, like most right thinking people on pistonheads, that speed cameras are an arbitrary revenue collection device that don't improve road safety, and can afford to be treated with contempt.
Yet, he made his millions when he sold his shares in a speed camera company. This is REAL justice.

Why are people going on about the speeding offence. This case was nothing to do with speeding or any other traffic violations.
It was a case about Perverting the Course of Justice, which the law takes very seriously as it is an attempt to undermine the law itself.
What makes it doubly worse in this case is that the individual himself was one who aspired to be a law maker - and therefore someone who would and did have a direct influence on the laws that govern all of our lives.
Servility and acquiescence does not make a good citizen, and just accepting the 'this box/that box' type separations of reality is deeply troubling. It was a case about Perverting the Course of Justice, which the law takes very seriously as it is an attempt to undermine the law itself.

The Beeb are reporting the attorney general has been asked by Conservative MP David Burrowes (Parliamentary Chairman of the Conservative Christian Fellowship, and Officer of the Conservative Friends of Israel group) to appeal against the sentences given to Huhne and Pryce for being too lenient.
So now we know Don's real identity I only ever wanted a 6 month sentence for Huhne.
I'm on record in this thread.
Mind you, I did find it amusing that the Tannoy summons to breakfast this morning included the words "Order, Order!".
It was a bit unfortunate that Carina Tringinham got a parking ticket on the Prius whilst she visited Huhne.

Wow sensitive people these days. A warder takes the piss out of huhne a little bit and people think he is being a bully.
People need to get a grip.
Quite!People need to get a grip.
Huhne was well known for being a bully.
I am surprised that people are offended because he is getting a dose of his own medicine.
"Order, Order"

Allegedly Vicky Pryce has already been moved from Holloway Prison to East Sutton Park open prison, a mansion near Maidstone, after only 4 days' stripey daylight.
This is excellent news. The woman deserves a medal for services to humanity. The Three Stooges have repeatedly asked me to explain my hatred of Huhne.
I don't have any particular hatred for Huhne. I hate all hypocrits who have a negative influence on my life.
Huhne is typical of a new breed of politicians. Most of them studied PPE (Philosophy, Politics and Economics). They took this course, not because they wanted to change the world, but because they wanted to become senior figures in our political system.
Huhne, by his own admission, joined the party that he felt he would get promoted in. LibDem policies had nothing to do with his decision to become a member. He joined the LibDems purely, and simply, because he felt that he had the greatest chance of promotion in that political party.
What an utterly detestable individual!
He gave his full support to the "Climate Change Act". This is the most expensive Act in British history. It commits us to £18Bn a year for the next 20 years. As a result, our electricity will rise from 11p a unit to at least 23p. The public do not seem to understand that this will kill off all manufacturing in this country.
Huhne is not an idiot. He understood the implications of the "Climate Change Act"!
He knew that he was screwing up the British economy for the next twenty years. He did this for his personal gain.
On balance, I think that you will agree that my comments have been very restrained.

In other words the government now estimates that the Climate Change Act will cost every household in the country between £16,000 and £20,000 each.
This is why I hate the man so much. The funny thing is that these are only the direct costs.
Increased energy prices will mean that our industrial base will be wiped out.
My kids will be denied the chance to have a better life than me.
He deserves to spend the rest of his life in gaol, as do many others.

Yes, but that goes without saying. I am not going to get over wordy just to satisfy your pedantic nit picking. He was in charge, he is responsible.
Are you now saying that it was only him, or that he was one of a number that are responsible? I must say you are rather coming across as a politician, or maybe a spin doctor, carefully choosing words to give the impression that you want without being caught in a deliberate mistruth. If the fact that there were other people equally to blame goes without saying, then the same thing applies to Huhne's involvement. Don
