I stand corrected

However..

Why TF should we allow another bunch of bureaucrats to tell us what scum we have to keep and pay for?

The rest of Europe seems to turn a blind eye to illegal immigrants, safe in the knowledge that they are only passing through on their way to the land of milk and honey that is the UK.

Round 'em up and kick the scum out.

Because to send someone living in this country to another country where they are likely to be tortured or killed would be viewed as us condoning such treatment. We do not.

Your claim that Europe mostly ignores illegal immigrants is laughable. I suggest you do some research on exactly how many immigrants other EU nations receive, compared to the UK.

I spotted the French, Belgians and Spanish ignoring groups of immigrants gathered around the ports and truck stops in Northern Europe.

I wonder why?

No it is quite simple, the rest of Europe is in the Schengen agreement so deport out of the Schengen area, which conveniently for northern Europe is the UK. We can't sit outside an open borders agreement then wonder why we get the people that aren't wanted in the open area deported or helped on their way to the UK can we?

Why should we worry about this?

Our government should protect the liberties of our citizens.

In case you haven't noticed... we are bankrupt. We cannot afford to worry about the rights of foreigners.

do you believe their story? the first and upper tier tribunal when they were exercising their appeal rights did not. this is not a case of the UK shirking from its international obligations - it is a case of the european courts riding roughshod over domestic courts.

the human rights act was brought into play to stop jokers like hitler from taking out a generation of jews. not so some lying somalian can live in kensington in a 3 million quid house with his 10 kids. you might have signed up to that but I certainly didnt - and its the european courts that have extended the ambit and mutated articles 2,3 and 8 (specifically) so as the echr as it now is has gone beyond what it was designed for.

come over here on a visitors visa and dont go back? no problem, get up the duff by a british citizen and we will take care of you.

come over here and run someone over? then maybe leg it from the scene? no problem. have a kid with a brit cit, and well take care of you.

come over here to study at the oxford street college of excellence doing a certificate in plant potting but your foreign spouse (who comes over as your dependant) isnt entitled to work? dont worry about the rules (which you were aware of when you applied for entry clearance) - sue the government instead to get you wife the right to work.

come over here as a doctor and forge your right to work documentation? cause a health scare? go ahead. when the government try and boot you out for this crime, we'll give you legal aid for that ,too.

in fact, all of the above - we'll give you legal aid. would you like me to go on?

And if it is, be absolutely assured the IRIS queue will be full of idiots who haven't previously read the signs and are not signed up, but still try to go through the machines. Last week I guess at least 25% of the queue were not registered and took ages to twig that they really were not going to be let through.

Another set of onanistas.

Of course if the IRIS queue is a long one they won't have the staff to open up that handy temporary manual check in the next aisle to get rid of the queue, or maybe that is just T5.

How do you get on with the e-passport gates btw?

I have a plan for when I am King:

Disband UKBA and replace it with a National Border Police, who will be uniformed, armed and run under military discipline. It will also have a large Special Branch. It will mostly, though not entirely, be recruited from ex service men and women.

A law will be enacted that makes unauthorised entry into and/or staying in the UK a criminal offence, punishable by imprisonment and deportation.

The EHCR and the EU will be invited to lick my perineum on this one.

I've never seen a single solitary other person use the IRIS system when I've gone through T3.

Yeah, the people that either can't use Iris or try without being registered is frustrating.

Never used e-passport gates.

I said ex servicemen, not retired Home Office force cozzers! And the uniform won't be one of those black combats affairs with stab vests. It will be a fetching green (a bit like the German border police) with a proper tailored tunic and belt, shirt and tie. Or maybe a khaki tunic with very dark green trousers in a 'black and tans' stylee. Hmmm....

I would vote for it and have quietly been saying this for years.

The whole lot is a pissing joke. Is it only the general public that can see this?

Personally after all the ranting and raving when in opporsition I really expected better from this lot. Maybe they are being held back by the wooly Liberals. If so, tell them to sling their hook.

Shouting 'Not fit for purpose' is a piss poor way of getting out of things.
