Yup, letter at work yesterday telling me that as of yesterday we get a payrise, worth around 13p an hour more, but better in our pockets. So that was nice biggrin

In the last week a got a 5 grand tax refund for 2009 childcare and am due about the same for 2010 in a few months I expect. And today my 7yr old got his 'A diploma' for proficiency in the pool. The swimming thing made me happier than the money - the lad worked really hard and he succeeded.

I'm going to be a dad for the first time next year, which came as a surprise as I had doubts that my bks would work after the abuse they've taken over the years laugh

I've just checked my emails and I have got one from the National Lottery titled "News About Your Ticket!" So I have logged in to my lottery account and I have just discovered that yesterday 1st October 2011 I won the national lottery, well ten whole pounds of it anyway.

Well, I pitched some ideas at Sky last week and have a meeting with the BBC next week.

Sky were very positive and they are commissioning a lot of drama.

When (not if) they commission a series, I will be able to relocate to a tax haven, fly over here to oversee the production and, generally, life will be 100000% better!

Congrats!

I discovered that my big tax bill doesn't have to be paid on January 2012, rather 31st January 2013 !

I will have spent it by then

I've just rented out an 18 acre smallholding of mine to E-ON for a six turbine windfarm. I should be raking in about £25k pa for EACH turbine!

Happy days! smile
What would be hysterical is if they end up paying you more in rent than
the value of the energy produced by themlaugh

The Boy George will announce today he's freezing Council Tax for a second year.

Better than another hike after more than 105% rise under G Clown.

Back to full time work for me after 2+ years at 20hrs/week. Hopefully that will fund moving house to put us near a decent primary school for our daughter.

I've told E-ON to poke their windmills. I might set up a solar panel farm instead.
