Saville's golden pass from the Thatcher government to wander into whatever institution he fancied and bugger kids is now fairly clear. He had dirt on Heath and would spill it if they didn't play ball. Wonderful world eh?

and yet despite all that - Yentob has been busy trying to bully Newsnight and Today into not delving into the diddling at his chosen charity.

That's a bit inaccurate. There is no accusation of "diddling" - the accusation is inappropriate use of funds but not of ANYTHING sexual or abusive.

frown amazed, shocked, and massively surprised in equal measures. Not something I EVER came across or even ever heard rumblings about in my (limited) dealings with them.

more the issues with the cult of personality manifesting itself in charities ... oddly enough in my experience of charities and volunteary organisation the presence of personality cult usually means a implosion or the discovery of various irregularities is imminent

I thought the colourful attire and hats were about about ticking some multiculuralism boxes? Colourful clothes go with the colourful name?

Isn't it diversity and celebrating the joy of difference?

Common Purpose cronyism I think. Perhaps she's even faked being a Common Purpose convert to cover a propensity to helping themselves to other peoples money?

Reminders of the coke snorting, rentboy hiring Bishop that was running the Co-op, but he was a very good mediator capable of joining opposing sides in deals....

it is a clinicla term and many of the so call ( by the media) Paedophiles aren;t ... they are generally hebephiles ( interested in pubescent adolescents)/ ephebephiles ( interested in older adolescents into 'young adults) from a clinical point of view . ephebephila as pathology is to a degree a societal construction especially when the definition of 15 -19 is used ...
Was on a long drive the other day as R2 was playing some "sweet 16" song from the fifties (probably sung by a 30-40yo) and thought exactly this. Chuck berry's single made it to #2, after all.

What's the clinical term for being into fit, educated white 20-40 year olds with good teeth and jobs?
