Jesus wept - I thought that was purely a creation of South Park.
Even with that in mind I though it was close to the mark - even for SP.

But it's an actual organisation? Astounding.

I would suggest that the age of consent be INCREASED rather than decreased. Whilst physically, young people may be maturing earlier - in my opinion, mentally they are maturing much later. Many youngsters of 18 today behave and act as if they were 12.
After all, it's SCIENCE FACT that making things which require no outlay, accessories or equipment (other than one's body) illegal is a sure-fire way of getting young people to stop doing them. We should enact such a law without delay! There are no possible unforeseen negative consequences whatsoever!

Also, I think your view of what constitutes appropriate behaviour for 18 and 12 years old may not be a widely held one.
It was a tongue in cheek comment - as I explained further down.

Interesting to finally see someone else has highlighted the Catholic Connection.

It was a fundamental part of the man - for good or ill.

We might as well face up to it....the place is crawling with paedos and fiddlers. Priests are at it.Teachers are at it. Cops are at it. Celebs are at it. Ordinary mums and dads are at it. And it's just a matter of time till one of them starts activisming for its acceptance and legalisation. Next thing you know, it's an offence to offend them.

Next (once kiddy fiddling's decriminalised) it's animals. Or is shagging/being shagged by animals already acceptable?
Ho hum. Tiresome troll is tiresome.

So should the thread be re-titled? Does the OP still wish Mr S to RIP?

Managed to start getting into clubs when I was about 17 in the late seventies. Plenty of girls I saw in them that I knew were under 16 as I knew them from when I went to school! And they threw themselves at the DJ's or doormen, (who lets face it were older than the DJ's). They knew how to look older, knew how to circumvent their parents restrictions and were clearly out for various levels of a "good" time. Looking historically at this plenty of "stars" of that era could well be in trouble. Many of those have honours and many of those had the public clamouring to hoist the honours in them. Funny how some despite having no other redeeming features seem to be left alone. Still everybody loves a witch hunt.
I think there's a difference between letting someone into a club because someone flirted with you, and molesting them as 'payment' for having done so.
Who said they "Flirted" to be let in? They wanted to be there and convinced somebody that they were old enough. THEN they started flirting with those in the DJ booth behind the bar and running the door.

RIP - "Revealed, is Paedophile"?

Technically should be RWP then, as it's now "was".

Completely agree!
As a 36 year old I totally agree.

As a 23 year old just leaving Uni I would not have thought twice about disappointing a seventeen year old girl all night long, 6th former or not!

He makes a fair point really. Loads are making noises but nobody will stand up & make specific accusations. Much like the alleged victims of JS when he was alive to face the music...

In the current frothing knee-jerk frenzy, he is brave, but it probably still needs doing.
More general and vague accusations?

It makes me wonder if it is a bit like mass hallucinations, or people trying to recollect UFO sightings, and they tend to remember what someone has already talked about.

On the news item just, they had a slimy lawyer talking about the prospect of suing. Suing whom I'm not sure, the BBC maybe?

Is that the same DLT who groped a Times journalist recently as she tried to interview him?
