Yes that's why I asked. I drive about all day for work with radio 4 on. Every time I got back into the car they were banging on about it.

Then I'm home and it's on something then on newsnight as well.

May I ask a question.

I may have missed it but since the BBC has become labour leader free publicity machine tonight did the conservatives get so much coverage when Cameron was trying to be leader?
I thought the same myself tonight, hosting a labour leadership debate...WTF.

Everyone of them has zero chance of winning the next election, zero. Mrs balls, a left wing nutter, the woman nobody knows and Andy Burnham (who makes Miliband look like a political colossus)

I can't decide whether the Labour media people are just much better at getting stories to the beeb, or if the beeb are more amenable to Labour stories.

It's been like this since New Labour - they just seem to be able to get a story or reaction onto the state broadcaster in double-quick time.

Perhaps the other parties need to up their game (or buy a few more lunches?).

I think there's some truth to that, New Labour was way ahead of the Tories when it came to spin/media management, they brought US style electioneering to the UK. With a salesman like TB as the face it was a walk over versus John Major who IMO was 1000 times more capable than Bliar. This time it was that Red Ed was just so awful that no amount of spin could paper over it. Well and truly a case of trying to polish a turd.

BUT I do think that consciously or otherwise the BBC is also biased, and more receptive to Labour spin.

My wife had a breakfast programme on recently and there was a debate about the Pope's letter on Climate Change.

I'm not massively convinced either way on the topic but, by heck, that was a biased debate. Lots of people who were lined up to say it was the end of the world and that capitalism was to blame and one bloke from the "denial" lobby who was treated as though he was a child molester. There was then a vox pop summary of viewer comments - all backing the MMGW lobby. The presenter gave the last word to the denial chap and after he'd said a few words, the presenter cut him off saying "I wish I hadn't asked you" or some such.

I find the Vatican commenting on the real World quite funny.
As for the BBC I guess the Vatican is a good friend .I would love to see how these "panels" of ordinary folk are put together.

I watched that show today, with Delingpole. He doesn't do himself any favours. The bloke on the link wasn't very good either, or the hippy vicar.
But the ratio seemed accurate to the real world.

I find science confusing. Take rising sea levels. I have lived next to the River Dee for 13 years its a tidal Estuary and yet we have less water now than we did when I first came here. Problem with Scientists is someone pays them.

I'm sure the climate is changing. As it has always changed. I'm sure that man pouring pollutants into the atmosphere and waters of this planet are bad. I'm less sure that the change is solely attributable to man. The problem with the MMGW lobby is that it has focussed on CO2 rather than other pollutants.

I think you should try and get hold of and read "Climate Change, The Facts" available from SteynOnline you might just change your mind on that one.

Quite so, that quote from mph1977 is just parroting the zealot website spin and in doing do has managed to get reality upside down and inside out. Computer climate models, which faithfully reproduce the erroneous assumptions of the modellers, say it's real, but that's it. So far there's no global climate data (as opposed to gigo) that even shows it exists. The claimed effects are still invisible in the data, profound faith is needed to open eyes and truly believe.

I have sussed this climate change thing, yup, yes, fking well have, by meticulous research.!!

I have noticed, by great awareness and precision, that if you stay up long enough in the day, it gets dark. But also, if you then stay up lomg enough it get light again.

Why? Well after much observation and deliberation , I've notice that this fking great yellow thing appears when its light and ain't cloudy.

Plus after great study, my pin point research has revealed, that depending on time of year, when that fking great yellow thing is not shrouded by them cloud type things (cos when it ain't dark I reckon its still there, just hidden), its generally warmer , yup, up goes the temperature.

That don't happen when its dark of course, cos , some fecker nicks that fking great yellow whatsit and it gets colder.

So there, climate change is caused by fking great yellow thing, where can I gets me nobel whatsit?

Ta!
