Political bias at BBC - something has to be done surely

I would also argue that they DO consistently produce quality programming across a broad church of genres.
Ever diminishing return though. The quality of programmes on R4 is dropping & the comedy slot is down to 3, those being the Antidote to Panel Games, Just a Minute & The irregulars (Clare in the Community, Dead Ringers etc).
The News Quiz is now dire, as is The Now Show. They've just given up on being topical.
TV programming is worse than dire. The latest offerings, Cuffs & the Coroner are as weak as piss.
London spy is bordering on gay porn (or so I've been told).
(About the porn that is, I did watch it).
(When I say watched, I FF'd through the porn bits).
FTR, I find gratuitous hetro sex scenes usually surplus to the plot as well.
I hope that came out ok

I watched Cuffs last night. What an unusual police station. There only seems to be one straight white male officer. This is social engineering. It's a pity, because it is so far from reality that it affects one's ability to enjoy the programme.

I think you will find you are not alone in those thoughts regarding Russell Howard.
The left wing could create a comically gold hooter of an issue in the news, and he would ignore that in favour of a soundbite that happened in a foreign country months ago. Like a video of a donkey smoking a cigar.
Lets face it, he's just not very funny. The left wing could create a comically gold hooter of an issue in the news, and he would ignore that in favour of a soundbite that happened in a foreign country months ago. Like a video of a donkey smoking a cigar.
When there is no political bias here perhaps one can throw stones in the glasshouse?
This place is full of Daily Mail right wing "worriers"
You know the score. People who say the Daily Wail but then feed at the very teat they are complaining about.
Constantly.
So you are saying political bias at the BBC when you mean not the bias you really think is appropriate... it's more a comment on the poster than the BBC.
AS ALWAYS.

One reason I never watch 'police drama'. It's all completely divorced from reality. No matter what channel it is on.This is social engineering. It's a pity, because it is so far from reality that it affects one's ability to enjoy the programme.

I usually sit there in episode one of everything ticking off the ethnic minority, gay and disabled characters, and the posh white male baddie.

Oh come on, that's the same with most BBC drama.

You have me at a disadvantage. I cannot remember the last time I watched a BBC drama. That's the thing I suppose, I don't like it so I don't watch it.I usually sit there in episode one of everything ticking off the ethnic minority, gay and disabled characters, and the posh white male baddie.

Just a shot in the dark, but it's possible that they've got these diverse characters for dramatic purposes, it being a drama and all.I usually sit there in episode one of everything ticking off the ethnic minority, gay and disabled characters, and the posh white male baddie.
You know what. After a member of parliament quoted from the red book, I almost wrote "you know what, rather then denounce this act, bbc online will do a feature on the red book, how its actualynt a bad book etc..."
Shame I didnt do it earlier then this..
