0.6 degrees is quite a lot, we now have a record amount CO2 in our atmosphere, ice is meting at an alarming rate, but if you don't study it if you carry on polluting the atmosphere and if you don't change then things we will (and are) suffer.
The nearest effect of visible and physical effect of pollution is Oxford Street London, pretty terrible their at times, but hey, leave as it is why don't you, do nothing why don't you. Anyway its of people don't pay attention to you as they are doing something, whether that means longer battery life on your phone or laptop , solar charging or anything that relies on less fossil fuels, there are people developing it.

You should have seen (well you couldn't - visibility was less than 10 feet) Oxford street in the 50s during one of the London Fogs... That is real pollution. Rather than get into another climate change thread - all I'll say is 0.6 degrees in 100 years is not a lot of change - we experience far greater diurnal temperature swings without significant difficulty. The nearest effect of visible and physical effect of pollution is Oxford Street London, pretty terrible their at times, but hey, leave as it is why don't you, do nothing why don't you. Perhaps Harji should have a look!

The climate changes. It always has. But back then there was no gravy train for scientists to climb on and fill their pockets.
If we had the snow of 1962 today (or this winter) climate idiots would think the bloody world had come to an end! The same climate scientists like Viner who worked at the 'famed' University of East Anglia, in 2000 the expert prediction that snow would soon become a 'rare and exciting event'. 'Children just aren’t going to know what snow is, Viner said. F. idiot!

I've just sent a Tweet to BBC Newsnight to say :
"Could someone instruct Gavin Davis that the entire point of doing an interview is to let the interviewee finish a sentence"
Amazed that Crispin Blunt didn't unsnap his mike, get up and walk out saying "fk this"
Also loving the way it sticks in their craw to have to announce the markets are higher than before Thursday
Evan Davis, btw."Could someone instruct Gavin Davis that the entire point of doing an interview is to let the interviewee finish a sentence"

Anyone who watched it, please take 5 mins to submit an online complaint.
That is kind of sad, no?
'I demand that my favourite interviewee is given time to say what we know that he's going to say so we can post about it on a forum and agree with each other how disgraceful everything that doesn't fit with our world view is!'
edit : just saw 'agitprop', very funny.
I just don't watch the BBC anymore and I view it as an anachronism. If I could find a way to not pay for the majority of its output I would. Of course - it does produce things I want to watch occasionally and I'd be happy to purchase those...
I don't watch live TV anymore. Everything is streamed or recorded.
I still have a TV capable of receiving BBC broadcasts, though, so I reluctantly pay the TV licence. I'd prefer a subscription or a PAYG service, though, as it would suit my viewing habits better and be cheaper for me. I won't get that wish but there it is...

What... that the Tory was on about immigration controls into the UK & Davis then said about BoJo stating that Brits should still be free to live & work in EU countries? Is that the part I should be complaining about? Anyone who watched it, please take 5 mins to submit an online complaint.

I'm not sure if you are serious or not. I'll assume you are. In which case you seen to have rather missed the point of what is being discussed. I don't care if Evan (my bad - it was late and I'd had a few glasses of French EU wine) Davis was interviewing Saddam Hussein and Hitler. The point is that he refused to let Blunt get more this two or three words out before he interrupted Blunt with HIS world viewThat is kind of sad, no?

BBC journalists are paid (by us) to elicit the opinions of OTHERS - not to bring in studio guests and use them as a prop in some kind of bizarre ventriloquist act.
As for someone who doesn't watch BBC coming on this BBC-centric thread and piling in with an opinion about something they never saw - well that Is kind of sad, no?

This morning's headline, something along the lines of 'Singapore's third largest bank stops lending on London property'.
Third largest - what do the two larger (more important?) banks think?
Has any other financial centre stopped issuing loans relating to one market before?
Without some context - and I don't think I've heard mention of Singaporean banking policy before - it seems like someone trawls the wire for negative stories...but that wouldn't happen, would it?
