The BBC funding is clearly been hit hard the woman reporting from Washington (Barbara Pleschette ?) looked like she has been dragged through a headge straight in front of Camera.

For those of you accusing 'us' of moan moan moan, try this article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38760560
Turns out that apparently the people leaving office were going anyway, due to retirements etc., so why give the article such prominence, or any airtime at all? Do foreign networks cover the minutia of UK government when there is an election?? Its the subtle, & often not so subtle, bias that grates, particularly that we no choice but to pay these 'journalists' wages, most of whom, it seems, have a job for life, & appear to be paid an awful lot of money. The consistent jibes at those of a different viewpoint & agenda to the BBC are becoming rather tiresome.

and yet are FORCED to pay for it unlike the personal choice to pay or not for the other biased media available.
Not to mention filling up the courts in 2016 -

"More than one in 10 criminal prosecutions in 2012 were for non-payment of the BBC licence fee."

If you want a laugh, have a listen to Nicky campbells BBC Radio 5 morning phone in from yesterday (26th Jan) approx 9.15am.

They spend the whole hour going on about Trump with sheer derision.

When they opened up the phones the callers gave Nicky a piece of their mind.

Yep, as mentioned above.

It was the same this morning but they had one poor chap calmly trying to defend Trump against an avalanche of hate, full of ludicrous Hitler comparisons. Campbell even had to step in to correct one guy spewing about Trump subverting democracy (using the popular vote crapola). So normal service resumed and the frothers were back out in force.

Entertaining though!

but worth your TAX (sorry....licence fee)? Not for me. The BBC are destroying themselves vary rapidly. A few years ago I would never of thought I would be in this mind set: I am so sad about it.

Those who can compare Trump to Hitler should watch the documentary "Father Ted" now there was a man who worshiped Hitler.
It is all getting a bit silly isn't it.

you must be too young to remember Father Ted getting himself into all sorts of trouble and portrayed as a Hitler like figure in one episode. Its the go to insult for the left if you don't agree with them you are Racist and may well be compared to Hitler.
Nice to see Winston Churchill back in a prominent place in the Whitehouse....just on the news now.

If you had listened more attentively to the BBC you might have learned to say should 'have ', not should 'of' . Tax? A couple of quid a week for 6 radio channels and 4 TV channels , which many million of us actually rather like isn't too much of a burden for you is it ?

I didn't see the news last night, so woke looking forward to hearing how TM got on with Trump, except it wasn't even in the news headlines on Today.

Thankfully they did have some interviews about it, so I could work out what happened from that.

The sooner people get a choice (just like Brexit) as to whether when they watch TV, they actually want to pay for the BBC, the better. Just scramble the channels and make them pay to view. Choice is good. I won't pay for their weasely bias.

Looks like a Tory supporter has been made Editor of Today.
Quite a few Tories in senior positions now - should provide some balance surely?
