The Argies have made it clear they don't value the rights and desires of people, theirs or ours, they just covet the territory.

The UN promotes self-determination and therefore supports 100% the Falklanders.

the whole thing is a moot point no?
couldnt dauntless take out the entire argy airforce in one sitting?

i have a few very good argy friends who see through kirchners posturing for exactly what it is. frankly its a bit embarrasing that we rise to it. that said, they still firmly beleive the falklands are theirs... i have agreed on behalf of the UK that argentina can have the falklands back when they all go back to spain.

Most politicians are weak and have no strong beliefs and values. Thank God for the few that do.

Interesting this should pop back up now - I saw a news bite earlier saying that old turkey face herself has seemingly vanished for 2 months, and nobody knows who is actually running Argentina.

What a shame scratchchin
Didn't she have cancer treatment not so long back? Maybe a recurrence?

Type 45s are great, but the Argies can fly a Kfir to the Falklands a lot faster than we can sail a destroyer there. The last few RN ships visiting the islands have been Type 23s which are optimised for anti-submarine work.
Wow, the capability of those 'ikkle type 45's is amazing! Thing is, if Argentina sinks a civilian ship, and thats about all they have the capability to do, it's game over for them internationally and they know it, their economy would collapse overnight.

I don't want to see a war there but I also don't want to see us budge an inch on sovereignty. I suspect that the next Arg government will be more pragmatic about the situation.

Using history to play the blame game will get you nowhere except round in a big nasty circle.

It's all idle speculation anyway because I have agreed a treaty on behalf of the UK with a filthy Spanish colonist friend of mine that we will give them the Falklands when they give back Argentina to the injuns.

How much larger a land mass should the Falklands cover, how much larger should the population be, how much less windy, how much prettier, how much warmer, how much closer to the British Isles should they be, how much more should the Falklanders state their desire to remain British before you people deem them worthy of protection by our armed forces?

So, Goldblum, in the specific case of the Falklands (which this thread is about) do you agree with the Argentinian argument and their actions?

And you didn't think of googling them for a brief overview before replying? Weak.
I notice you still haven't answered what your opinion is of the Argentinian argument or their actions to date. I suspect you are not arguing objectively and instead seek to deny the British F.I rights on the basis of some personal grievance about other matters, the same goes for im too.
