Is the end nigh for the Euro? [vol. 2]
Discussion
Ok so how is it going to pan out now??Hollande isnt playing with Merkel anymore, the Greeks WILL renage and the Spanish fuse is lit,now call me stupid but surely the IMF when completing the "standard due dilligence" would have know there was a Greek election (and French)looming they must have insured against a change of goverment changing policy and not repaying?
Perhaps the Greek goverment isnt so silly but is actually clever ,the incoming coalition will be weak the 2 mainstream parties combined vote not even matching the 3rd place party this anti austerity is IMO an all consuming issue as I said pages back the votes for anti austerity will overcome political views this will call the train crash forward.
Even in the UK given a general election Im not so sure CMD would prevail....imagine Millibund trying to get through the coming nightmare.

The whole world is ignorant. The trick is not to be dumb enough to think you know best for mankind and to be smart enough to know whats best for you.

I think they showed how that works with Greece and Italy already. If the government won't conform to the Euro masterplan, they will be replaced with one that does. bosscerbera said:

A very informative detailed response, Globs. Thank you.. May I be so bold as to ask you what you regard as your political persuasion. Assuming you have one? Your views are distinctive.
I guess I'm a Ron Paul type person. Honest finances, small government, a libertarian. So to most people I appear as extremely right wing
All of this is now dillusional IMO,coutless billions given, the whereabouts of which is a mystery,11 changes of government figureheads in the EU,radical right left swings in voting is the very thing they should heed but dont, the voters are squashed by the EU machine, how long before the EU propoganda starts slating austerity to recatch votes its just all media led cattle fodder with no substance, the truth is the dont know or care what to do, 5yrs austerity is too much people wont after 4yrs of it already keep voting for it,much worryingly can now rest with fringe partys trying to tape together fragile coalitions, let the dust settle then the riots will begin, the promises have been made lets see what happens in France when one by one they get broken.

Far too early to say in my opinion, I suspect Hollande will be much less radical than some seem to expect (hope?).tertius said:

Hollande won an election, so he is obviously a member of the establishment and will do as his owners tell him to.The classic 'this time it will be different' mistake is repeated all over history. Look at Obama, I was saying he's just another Blair when everyone was jumping up and down rejoicing - and look at his 'popularity' now.
Hollande is just another st who works for the EU/ECB, and his spending plans (and calls for ECB expansion) are exactly what he has been told to do. The idea that these people have independent mind, consciences and morals is laughable.
It's just another puppet with another angle.

Hollande has bever held any kind of governmental position. It would seem quite likely that the French Sir Humphreys are about to sit him down & show him that 2 + 2 can not equal more than 4. And then to explain that when Frau Merkel says jump, the correct response is "how high?"Lets not also forget that very nearly half of France does not want him to be president. That half that does is about to get very pissed off when they realise that he cannot deliver on what he promised. The other half will say "told you so" and his credibility wuill be severely damaged within months.
Net result: strikes & as we know, the French do love a good riot!

Reminds me of a saying someone mentioned to me onceThe classic 'this time it will be different' mistake is repeated all over history. Look at Obama, I was saying he's just another Blair when everyone was jumping up and down rejoicing - and look at his 'popularity' now.

Really? How far have the Germans actually moved from the position they held 18 months ago? Not very I think. What I think Angie has done is let Mr Bruni think he was in charge, but in reality she has not given in to any of the fundamental stuff that was being asked of Germany. We will see how brave /stupid Hollande is. If he really pushes the Germans it may actually give them (and us) the excuse they need to walk away.Frau Merkel has been jumping when the French say, not the other way round ever since this "Merkozy" pact has been going on!!!! The Greek tragedy interests me it seems a moot point whether the Merkande (New Acronym) duo having a row or the Greeks chucking out the EU puppets (Quite Rightly), will start the collapse rolling.
But the collapse is coming I have no doubt.
