....I had to stop reading any further as my piss was approaching boiling point. We are given the ability to have our voices heard on matters concerning our country and these retards make a mockery of it.
Check out the lists of why people call 999 if you really want to scald your bladder.

Losing the tv remote seems to be a recurring theme there. hehe

I agree with DieselGriff, this is not a democracy, and you are deluded.

You need to look again at what I posted and your reply. You back up my points completely.

So which flavour of EU do you vote for in this democracy?

I think the issue is your simplistic definition of democracy. It's not as simple in the real world. I don't like the EU intrusion myself, but we are still a very, very long way off not having democracy. We do get a vote. We do get a say. If you go to many counties, they would give their right arm for the process that we have. Who's democratic system would you rather have?
Most of the people who piss and whine about the UK/EU have never lived anywhere else. Let them try a couple of years in just about any other country in the world and see how they do.

Exactly. It's not an ideal democracy, but it's just idiotic to say that it isn't a democracy.

It's unfortunate that no one would cite a better democracy for the discussion.

We kind live in a democracy - but its one that is very slow to move or react to changes in public views or perception.

The Guardian article sums it up really.
