Really, it’s got the square root of nothing to do with Islam. The perpetrators in this case are doing it for pure sexual self-gratification, nothing else. I think you might be missing the point again M and also selectively reading...

It is not Xenophobia really where the considerations of both the incoming and native are taken into consideration for it to be a Xenophobic statement it would have surely removed references to the immigrants not just clarified the native one no? After all Xenophobia is defined as "deep-rooted antipathy towards foreigners (Oxford English Dictionary; OED)"

Also the Welsh example is one person so therefore is simply not even comparable to an organised group surely?

The victim's background is also telling, although I don't know their ethnicity, it seems they are victims of an excessive western society where familial breakdown is involved. This makes them accessible to these creeps, nothing to do with purity or sluttishness

The ones who come out with the foul st would do the same to Egyptian women if they weren't afraid of a husband/father/brother paying them a visit with a machete. Their moral values do NOT change, however their actions are tempered by the potential consequences.

A UK builder who shouts things at attractive women - is he going to say the same if the woman has her PH husband with her ? Different moral values or the risk of getting a smack in the mouth?

There is an underclass of Pakistani/asian society that these men seem to belong to. These are the types that commit crimes (such as fraud), are dishonest, and not very nice people to be around at all. It's reasonably easy to spot them, and most people steer well clear - other than people similar to them who they tend to hang around with. We used to be warned about these kind of people from when we were young, so I don't think they've suddenly appeared from somewhere.

Thats rubbish. Local women in Egypt get harrassed as well, but the men probably don't want to get punched in the face so they don't do so openley in public, but it does happen.

I agree. Your point about the victim's background is particularly relevant. I think this was a common factor in most, if not all, the previous incidences of this type of crime.
