Me too. I heard it live this morning while I was driving to work. Luckily I was in slow moving traffic or I think I'd have lost control of the car. laugh

I'm amazed at how Jim Naughtie managed to keep his composure.

She's promoting a website about the humour of Tourette's, I think it's OK in this situation. wink

-edit-

I think the message is that it's OK to laugh at the tics, so long as you realise that there's a real person behind them.

I heard that on radio 4 this morning while driving to work.

Worst case of touretts Ive ever heard couldnt last a second without saying buscuit. I couldn't help but smile after a while my god it must be terrible. Really isn't funny.

Apparently her physical ticks are not just twitches she hits herself.

Website has gone down too many visitors.

I heard it too, must be bloody frustrating for the sufferer though. Must knock their confidence as well ...

I actually saw this girl on a bus a few months ago, initially assumed she was quite profoundly disabled (she was in a wheelchair as well) but it quickly became apparent from overhearing her conversation that she was actually very intelligent and articulate, one of those events that actually makes you think about your prejudices and preconceptions.

Heard this on BBC Radio Newcastle last night on the way home from work. I have to admit, I did laugh, but then she was promoting the positive aspects of Tourettes, so I didn't feel too bad.
