Farage makes a good speech.
He seems to talk sense in the youtube vids I've seen of him speaking in the Euro parliament.
But has anyone who is planning to vote for UKIP read this?
Apparently (though well-referenced):
Links with far-right organisations, including BNP, National Front and Polish extremists?
Opposition to equal opportunities for women?
Openly homophobic?
And the belief that fossil fuels are renewable?
I know this is PH so I don't necessarily expect a sensible response, but isn't it worth looking beyond a bit of party policy before casting your vote?
I guess that if this were 500 years ago, Farage would have been branded a witch by the state - of course the peasants would have believed every word they were spoon-fed......He seems to talk sense in the youtube vids I've seen of him speaking in the Euro parliament.

500 years later, and that post just doesn't it - for some perhaps, but not all...

I really really don't care
I'll still vote UKIP
I'd far rather vote for a party that is homophobic, racist and belives in magic oil then one that is 100% commited to stopping global warming and the rest of st that the conlab-dem lot spew out

I don't trust any political party, especially Labour, the Conservatives or Liberal Democrats (oh, wait, that's all of them).
But, personally, this would stop me voting UKIP.

...and that web page you linked to - it's unavailable....
Sorry. Wrong link. Fixed.Well, that was written in 8 years ago by a Euro MP. Is there any special reason we should believe this particular EU MP?
All the references are from UK tabloids, too......

Granted it's a bit old, and the author is a Labour Euro MP so you could expect a bit of bias.Well, that was written in 8 years ago by a Euro MP. Is there any special reason we should believe this particular EU MP?

But even if not 100% reliable word-for-word, I read it as moderately persuasive evidence that UKIP is not all it's been cracked up to be on here.
And not all references are tabloids—many, but not all. Also UKIP's own press releases/meetings, Times, Guardian, Telegraph, Independent etc.
ETA: And UKIP's ethos is unlikely to have changed vastly in those eight years.

I've voted Tory my entire adult life, but no more. They don't represent me, their manifesto doesn't reflect what I want.
A vote fr UKIP isn't a vote for labour, it's a vote for UKIP, what vot is supposed to be what you believe in, not strategic or a protest.
I will vote for UKIP and I'm considering joining them.

Funnily enough, having started this thread applauding last night's PPB, his performance this morning, just before 7am on the Today Programme, was considerably less well assured. He seems to talk sense in the youtube vids I've seen of him speaking in the Euro parliament.
Given the Party's growth from single issue drum-bangers to the full political portfolio they peddle today, it was disappointing that he was unable to answer the 'bread and butter' question of what the UK pulling out of Europe would actually look like.

I'm afraid it is. UKIP are not going to win an election so all it does is probably engineer another hung parliament. The louder the UKIP voice becomes the sooner all the other idiots will start to take note.
Besides, if Labour get in again, it could well be for the last time, as they will either completely bankrupt the nation, or more likely will continue with the cuts they planned (similar to what the Tories are doing) and the chavs will realise finally that there's no difference between the 3 main parties.

90% of the idiots voting tory are voting tory to keep labour out
90% of the idiots voting labour are voting labour to keep the tories out
Its a fking st state of affairs and saying a vote for UKIP is a vote for labour only furthers our future of wkers
