Couldnt have said it better, theres no point in arguing with you mr b, as you have already made your narrow mind up, yes i have come accross people like you, so brainwashed because of this irrational fear of Islam, its sad that people like you have chossen this path, its just as bad as the extremists that you think you are trying to combat by what you are doing

Mr B.

You are the worst kind of idiot.

The kind that is nearly smart enough to understand complex ideas, but not bright enough to actually listen to what the actual reality of a situation, as detailed in the legal system, is.

At least the other idiot in this thread, thunderstruck, was it? Was just your common village idiot.

I know of only one instance where anyone I know has had any dealings with a Sharia court...and I was shocked at the outcome!

A woman who is a customer at one of my businesses is a white Muslim convert and was married to a Muslim guy here in Birmingham. He beat her regularly and was generally a vile and repulsive human being.

One day she decided she had had enough and locked him out of their house etc.

Anyway, a Sharia court was arranged for them to sort out the mess. This woman was absolutely terrified as to what they might say...or what she might feel obliged to do as a result of the hearing (as a convert, she was a pretty strict Muslim...full burka, the works).

A few weeks ago she reappeared and told my staff the outcome of the court: her husband had been divorced from her, his house was hers to keep and he was ordered to stay away from her with no exceptions. He was to meet and collect their children at the Mosque to spend time with them so that he didn't cause her any more grief.

As I said in my first sentence, I was shocked; and pleasantly surprised. I'm no fan of any religion, Islam particularly.

Both of you are incapable of even debating, you just have abuse. Your self belief that you are above someone else and so sure in yourself that you are correct ( with speaking a word on the subject or joining the debate ) is exactly part of the problem in this country.
People like you pretend to be part of the solution, wanting to show how tolerant you are, when you are exactly part of the problem. The failure in the country to be able to openly talk about any subject relating to race, religion or culture is partly due to people like you who only wish to shut down such conversation and make hate figures out of any who doesn't agree with you.
You may notice the number of people who avoid every thread on such a subject, and also in your everyday life, who are cowed into not giving their opinion because you only have a reply with abuse calling them an idiot or racist. You can do that with obviously dumb people who reply with something like ' nuke them all', but I find your failure to tackle any of the points I raised really quite sad and rather telling.
I really hope you don't wonder why the BNP and EDL ( I don't agree with either ) are seen to be the only people speaking out, sadly people like you both are responsible for shutting down any level of sensible debate.

I am slightly confused. Do Sharia courts have the power to issue binding judgements in cases of physical assault? Do Sharia courts have the power to issue binding judgements in the family division in respect of divorce / division of property etc?
And the restraining order on her ex? That seems like an awful lot of power!

I believe under Sharia that the wife automatically gets custody, and by extension assets necessary to ensure the children are looked after.

I think it's only binding if you are concerned with your standing in the "community" I believe. Ostracising someone is a powerful weapon.
