Happy Tax Freedom Day everyone party

Every penny you (UK taxpayers) have earned so far this year will be going to the government, but do keep the rest of the year's income for yourself! wink

As a better comparison - which countries have an earlier Tax Freedom Day. I'm guessing the feudal serfs didn't have an NHS, Nuclear Weapons or Olympics to fund. Most didn't make it past 30 years old.

This is a well established international metric, standardised to the calendar to cope with the various fiscal regimes adopted by individual countries.

Agreed. I'm not disputing the 149 days or whatever as calculated.

But on a UK based site, it doesn't feel right.
