Ok, we've had well known local lad What.a.t t carrying the Olympic Torch and it's making good progress around the country. Wales, yes, I can see that. Scotland, no problem. Norn Iron? Of course. It's part of the UK. So, why is the torch in Ireland being carried around by these 2 f kwits? They aren't hosting the games, are they? Where does it go next? Belgium? Ghana?

No idea, though I was slightly surprised to see Dublin on the map! Now the Euro's failed, is Ireland joining the UK?

Part of Ireland is part of the UK so as a gesture of goodwill between the two parts of the island it was agreed that it would be nice for Dublin to get a look in. I don't see the olympics being in Ireland any day soon. I admit calling on the services of Jedward was a bit naff.

Open flame and all that flammable hair spray around, just looking for trouble.

When they ran the torch in NI there were 'Republican' protests. Seems a bit rich.

And I'm sure there were only a handfull of them - like the handfull of "British Republicans" who tried to protest a couple of times during the Jubilee. They are professional whingers. Ignore them.

Tat always annoys me. If I were from Northern Ireland I'd not be happy.
The official team name is Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Heard a report that some IRA members- oh sorry not allowed to call them by that name any more, stopped the flame in Londonderry and forced it to be diverted. There was a brief report on the BBC but they quickly dropped the story. Any one got any more info

They are just professional moaners and whingers who want to spoil things for others. Don't forget that there are English Republicans too who protest whenever they can. As far as I know, nobody was protesting against the Olympics in Dublin - although I might have protested about the use of Jedward.
