That article by the DM is simply one of the worst cases of completely over the top scaremongering I have seen in a long time.

what the answer is, I don't know
Perhaps if we made sex less of a taboo it'd help, at secondary school I remember the teacher giggling away during the single half hour lesson we had about sex and contraception. Either that or show a real unedited 3rd degree tear child birth to 11 year old girls and they'll be terrified of sex for fear of getting pregnant hehe
I don't know that that's the problem
I think it's the unrealistic ideas people get about what sex should be, going at anal hammer-and-tongs is perfectly standard according to the world of porn - so boys want to do it, girls think they have to do it

Promoting personal responsability for parents raising kids would be good start, but then again, not just for this "problem" but for the majority of the social issues this country faces.

These days, it's always somebody elses fault.

Not having a dig Hugo a Gogo, just picking up your last statement.
I'm not blaming anyone

it's just that now 'the chat' you might have to have with a pre-teen daughter about boyfriends now has to involve all sorts of stuff I'd never heard of at that age

In my experience over the last 10 years it is girls that have suddenly become much, much, more forward when it comes to sexual advances on the opposite sex.

Not only that, but precisely what they want to do once they have got you is seemingly extensive as well.

It makes me wonder at times which of the sexes actually watches the most porn and 'gets ideas'.

The two things that always crop up when this issue comes up....

The Mail are hypocrites....yes, but not that much. They might use LOTS of pictures of Z list girls in bikinis to sell their web site space but that doesnt mean they dont have a point in that the EXTREME type of porn around today and the EXTREME ease that kids can see it is a problem.

And the parents need to sort it.....yes, but they wont. These kids blowing each other in the park are not from nice homes where mummy and daddy watch their every move and have a hissy fit if they go near facebook....these are kids whose parents throw a stolen iPad at them to shut them up while they go out on the piss.

There is no easy solution but to say "it's no big deal, the Mail are worse because they showed a blurred Madonna nipple and its the parents fault anyway" is more dumb than the article in question.
