All of them probably.

"I never asked any favours of Prime Minsiters" - hmmm. Maybe not a favour but a definte attempt to influence policy.

How dare he. A guy who never even had the vote in the UK.

I would take anything Campbell claims with a pinch of salt but that probably goes for Blair and Murdoch as well so unless there's tapes of the phone calls or an independent witness then it's all just hearsay and posturing - pretty much like a lot of the 'evidence' being given to Leveson.

Did he forget to mention this when he appeared at Leveson?

Yes but telling them what to do is not asking a favour

interesting isnt it. why didnt he?

i hope he can back this up because if i was murdoch i would sue him for deformation.

anyway from what they are saying on the tv now all he apparently said was teh paper would back their stance.

not exactly asking them to start bombing is it and if that is what they said that would have been sweet sweet news to labour.

Same goes for Blair, did he mention it? I don't think he did.

The Cabinet Office have also said that they can find no record of a call from Gordon Brown to Murdoch "declaring war" as Murdoch has claimed and Brown has denied. All the PM's calls are logged.

I believe calls from his personal mobile are not logged and to quote from Guido;

'The Cabinet Office has revealed details of Gordon Brown’s chats with Rupert Murdoch: “We confirm there is a record of only one call between Mr. Brown and Rupert Murdoch in the year to March 2010, on 10th of November 2009″. Despite the statement making it clear that no independent civil servant was on the call to take minutes, the Prime Mentalist is claiming that he’s in the clear: “This statement confirms Mr Brown’s evidence to the Inquiry”. Not quite.

Before people start crowing that Murdoch has committed perjury, Uncle Rupe told the Inquiry that Brown phoned him in September 2009, not November. Given that Murdoch’s kids were having sleepovers at Chequers, we know full well that Gordon had a mobile phone…'

A little harsh. Rupe is certainly no oil painting but I can see no obvious deformity.

Perhaps - but trying to influence the leader of a country when you are not even a citizen of that country is not on - in my view.

Specifically Campbell, but would apply to the others.

If I have to endure this odious tt being paid to be interviewed and push his latest "diaries", I am going to scream!
