A little harsh. Rupe is certainly no oil painting but I can see no obvious deformity.
Damn, you beat me to it defamation!!
Always disappointing to see how these threads get taken over by the 'frothing at the mouth' haters of anyone remotely associated with the Labour Party. To get back to the point, this is another illustration of how Murdoch and his corporation have been allowed to become too powerful, to a point where our democracy has been undermined, they have too much influence and it's a shame that more people on here don't reserve their ire for the real issue.
Hard to know who to believe here. Neither Campbell or Blair said anything about this at Leveson, Murdoch has claimed he's never asked a PM for anything during his fantastic spell of amnesia during his appearence where he remembered nothing he or NewsCorp have ever done but remembered everything politician's had done.

I could be wide of the mark, but I thought that was what the OP was aiming for, even though the story is actually a negative one in respect of Murdoch. I took "the worm has turned" to mean that Campbell had turned against Blair. Perhaps I was mistaken.Blue62 said:

Are you saying that Blair, Brown et al were not strong enough to stand up to him? Why?What does he know that makes them go to war on his say so? If nothing then were they really so determined to hang on to power that they took us to war? Either way they are beneath contempt and deserve every bad thing they get.
You are right to say that we should reserve our ire for the real issue but that has nothing to do with Murdoch or any other newspaper.
