Farage was always well aware of his position within the EU but how else to guarantee have your say and stick it to the EU politicians than to be an elected EU politician?

I rather believe we are headed more for a NO DEAL scenario now than ever before and frankly a clean slate and no whopping great 39bn payoff to the EU is good medicine for both sides. The Eurozone is looking rather wobbly at the mo.

As for those saying we are going to be worse off, well where's your crystal ball? Talking nonsense.

Permission to be childish.... Thanks

I think all the traitors that voted to flush our country down the s hitter should be lined up and machine gunned then dumped on a giant pontoon in the Irish Sea as a warning to any other fruitcakes to stay firmly under their slimy little rocks and never show their faces again. Oh and Nigel Farage is a massive hypocritical t wat who should give every penny of his MEP salary to charity, the man has no honour or integrity. Greatest living Englishman my arse!
Not bad for your second post in almost 4yrs clap

Careful, don't mention that there are elected members of the parliament. The religion of Farage have convinced themselves otherwise.

Sometimes I think Nigel has a point (OK I'm gullible)

Then I give my head a wobble, and remind myself that he's spent yrs undermine our position with the EU. Whilst claiming an MEP's salary.
You're surely not thinking ill of 'man of the people, Dulwich college-educated, former commodities broker, German passports for his kids-grabbing, barely-seen-since-the-vote, Nige' are you?
For a short time I worked behind the bar @ the George and Dragon, Downe. On a Sunday lunchtime we'd arrive early, pull pints, and line them up on the bar. Midday the locals formed a crowd, ready to break the door in, guzzling beer quicker than we could pour it!

Reforming whilst remaining in the EU is the only solution.

The point about Italy having to lend Spain money is spot on, why on earth should a country already struggling like hell have to lend another more, why have we bailed out Greece so much when they proved vor decades that they did not have a clue about running a sustainable economy?
Greece wasn't bailed out. It was a bank bailout, as succinctly explained here -

I think your understanding of being a traitor is the opposite to what being a traitor is.

Ceding our sovereignty and decision making abilities to a largely foreign entity is traitorous.

Your punishment leaves a lot to be desired and lacks imagination also. For the most vocal and obstructive remainers, I'd have them put in the tower of London for a few weeks to let them ponder and reflect upon the error of their ways. Arriving by river via the traitors gate. I don't think the death penalty is necessary though, I wouldn't want to see any remainer come to any harm. I just wish they would shut up.

I would continue to argue that Nigel is the greatest living Englishman.

Sitting round the table with the EU is like the Eurovision song contest with a whole lot more booze.

We tried to influence and reform but it was always NIL points for us.

In a year odd when the sky hasn't fallen down, will remainers admit they were gullible?

That question rather cuts both ways, don't you think? And it will take a bit more than 12 months to feel the full impact.

FTFY .

In fairness I think epithets like 'traitor' or others (flung by BOTH sides) are not particularly helpful. Regardless of what happens (or not) in a few weeks time we've all still got to live with each other

Well apparently it's all going to end in tears but I still haven't seen any crystal balls to verify their predictions...

Fair play.

Although I don't agree with her I also admire Gina Miller.

No. The traitors are the ones that got the result they wanted by lying prior the Referendum.

Did we join the EU based on a pack of lies the first time around.

Farage's links with far right organisations outside of his UK bubble are far more interesting to look at.

As well as his links to wikileaks, trump and the Russians.

The population weren't given a vote on joining either the EEC or the EU..

We voted to stay in the EEC in 1975, and to leave the EU in 2016.
