Neither do I; serious answer.
Israel has a blockade of Gaza. Flotilla of Turkish ships attempted to reach Gaza with supplies, etc, and we're attacked. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/01/world/middleeast...
PS Jim, have you seen the voting stats for Cuba?

So what, nobody else has to participate if they don't wish too. The embargo is mainly supported by the huge Cuba-American lobby who want to see their home nation and their families freed. Now, we were discussing Iran toying with blocking waterways that do not belong to them.
We were talking about condemnation... I thought the condemnation for the embargo of Cuba was quite interesting. I realise you seldom like to consider the actions of the US when condemning other nations, but we aren't all you. TheHeretic said:

At the narrowest point the Straits are 21 miles wide so even if they do close Iranian waters they can only do the to 10.5miles which still leave the Oman side for free navigation. The Oman authorities tend to get a little shirty with war ships arsing around at 30+ knots in their waters and kick them out.
The biggest issue is likely to be the insurance implications of a closure on the tanker industry. All it would take is 1 stray missile and a LGC to create an explosion not far from nuclear proportions.

About as wide as Dover to Calais then. The biggest issue is likely to be the insurance implications of a closure on the tanker industry. All it would take is 1 stray missile and a LGC to create an explosion not far from nuclear proportions.
