The point wasn't really BBC bias, silly comment. More about the Muslim habit of generating a crisis in any area where they become a majority, and then crying persecution.
So, ethnic minority in military junta that aren't recognised as citizens who are treated as less than property are the ones who are causing all the problems? AJS- said:
Where did I say they were causing all the problems, or that Burma was a perfect, liberal democracy?
I said it's a similar modus operandi to what we have seen in other areas, and "the west" has a bad habit of falling for it.
You are inferring it is a planned situation. Frankly your opinion seems to have little backing. Can you find me where this was a planned situation? How they meticulously planned their oppression, those evil Muslims, and pre-arranged the violence that then ensued from both sides...I said it's a similar modus operandi to what we have seen in other areas, and "the west" has a bad habit of falling for it.

You assumed the planning part too. I think it's more a cultural theme, they move into other areas, exclude themselves save for bursts of violence against non Muslims, then feel persecuted and react accordingly.
YOU said they generate a crisis.

Really, stop talking poppycock. Generating a crisis implies planning, and organisation, unless they generate it a different way? AJS- said:

Those crafty Muslims. Organising for themselves not to be recognised as citizens of the country they live in. Doing secret deals with the government to make sure they are the most persecuted group in a country where everyone is persecuted. Organising for Bangladesh to shut it's doors. I think it's more a cultural theme, they move into other areas, exclude themselves save for bursts of violence against non Muslims, then feel persecuted and react accordingly.
All so the BBC may one day, but not today, run a biased story about them.

Persecuted Muslim minority on the border between a Muslim and a non-muslim state. How long before they want their own country and UN support for doing so? The BBC seem all for it.
No it's not Palestine, Kosovo, Kashmir or Bradford but Burma this time.
