Two news stories covered this week alarmed me;

Panorama tells us there are 70,000 children being 'cared' for by the state and;

SE local news says that the cost is up to £200,000 per year PER CHILD.

Is that (up to) £14 billion per year? Arguably one of the biggest businesses in Britain.

The typical cost is £35K/yr.

People need to be careful what they wish for when they demand lower benefits payments to families.
