List of banned Olympic items..
Discussion
Console yourselves with the thought that in but a few weeks it will all be over, and never again in our generation will we have to host this joke of a sporting event massive advertising platform. All we will have to deal with is being seen as a laughing stock when our dilapidated infrastructure, feckless organisational skills and incompetent suppliers are put on display for the world to see.

This bloke will be in trouble too:
At what point should we have pointed out to the IOC that being a free, democratic and non oppressive country we would be unable to enforce some of their 'silly' rules?

Easiest thing would be to take some cash out from their bank's ATM prior to entering the Olympic Park and use that for drinks, snacks and souvenirs - although obviously you don't know exactly how much you are going to spend until you're inside
The easiest thing to do would be to stay away. Which is what I'm planning to do.I'll also be ignoring as much of the coverage as possible.
I have no interest whatsoever in over priced exploitation events like this and as far as sport goes I'd rather be outside, doing it myself.
I find it amazing the lengths and expense people will go to in order to sit miles away from some people performing whether that be music, sport, acting or whatever.
Living vicariously isn't half as much fun as just living......

I wonder why I've never noticed the pure corporate greed that comes with the olympics before? It's like wandering into an alternative universe where metanationals are the governments, almost seems a bit "Demolition Man". Bloody crazy, it's not about sport, it's all about the money
If it wasn't about the money we wouldn't have McDonalds as the official restaurant and Coca Cola as the official drink. That's just an oxymoron itself. Two huge companies that most likely contribute in huge numbers to the obesity problem, sponsors of the Olympics. What a joke. They should be refused as sponsors on moral grounds alone.
