Ian Tomlinson death - PC cleared
Discussion
I'm a little surprised to find there isn't a thread running on this story tonight since there were popular threads at the time.
PC Simon Harwood has been found not guilty of the manslaughter. The family appear to wish to pursue a civil case although this may be against the Met rather than the officer.

I wonder what will happen to PC Simnon Harwood now. Some "interesting" history has come to light about his service/retirement/resumption of service as a PC.
Anyway, a sad set of affairs.

Interesting is the word. It would appear that in this case nobody bothered to check his references. Anyway, a sad set of affairs.
