Just finished Mike Mullane's excellent "Riding Rockets".

He and Sally obvilously weren't the best of friends - but he writes about her with enormous respect and it's obvious what a remarkable woman she was.

RIP Sally.

I get the impression she was quite "forceful" - which Mullane would admit, did not make his ideal woman at that stage in his life.

"Riding Rockets" is one of my favourite astronaut biographies and the first really good personal book from the Shuttle era.
