The problem there is the public like the Queen. They don't like Charles and Horseface. Really it should just skip them entirely and go straight to William and Kate because people like them.
I don't think you should change centuries of tradition based on popularity.

William is only popular because his dim mum was pretty and his wife has a nice figure. For all we know he could torture kittens in his spare time.

I believe tradition counts for absolutely nothing against logic. Many awful things throughout history were defended on the grounds of tradition, that alone isn't a good enough reason for me. Charles must surely have advisors of some description and I would think considering his age (the Queen may not die for another decade if her mother's anything to go by) by the time he takes the throne he may be best advised to let it jump.

I know we don't have a vote in a monarchy and the only alternative is President Cameron (I shudder at the thought) but the fact is people don't like Camilla. People probably don't mind Charles, but the thought of Horseface being Queen Consort would grate with a huge chunk of the population. I saw a survey around the time of the Jubilee which said over 20% of the British population don't believe in the Monarchy but most of those do at least like the Queen and believe in her as a figurehead. So we like the Queen, but we don't like her family laugh

By the way, I disagree about Kate's figure. I think she's too thin for 5ft 10, but what do I know...

Well thats her fault for eating all the swans.
If you are what you eat, they must be a great laxative.

I'm gonna go against the grain here, I watched some of last night's events, and when you see her on video as opposed to a still image, I actually thought she had a look of quiet and solemn pride about her.

There's always the prospect of Prezza Blair ;(

Camilla can't be Queen Consort, married to a King she will be Queen - fact. She is at the moment actually the Princess of Wales but for obvious reasons no-one uses that title.

Phillip is a Queen Consort because although he is married to a Queen if he was made King he would outrank her. Which isn't the outcome intended.

She will not be titled as Queen, she will be HRH Princess Consort.

Exactly. Diana actually had something on the bone you could get hold of. Kate is a cardboard cutout.
