Water Chariots greed backfiring ?

A classic name swap.
Change the name of the original, insolvent company. That frees up the name at Companies House so that a new debt free company can be set up using the old company's former name. Causes much confusion - which is part of the reason why it's done.
Interesting that the disgruntled employee is talking about "invoices" he raised for work done for Water Chariots. Makes me think that he might not have been an employee at all - but a self employed outside contractor - which puts him in a very precarious position regarding his unpaid "wages".

I live in Limehouse and it's been interesting to watch this folly from the start. I am not surprised it has been a spectacular failure. Who was ever going to get off the DLR which goes to Stratford to pay £95 to sit on a boat that goes up the Limehouse Cut? It is not exactly a picturesque waterway. To hire one of the small boats exclusively for 7 people was £7,500! Someone has invested a lot of money into this and had their pants pulled down, it will be interesting to see what comes out in the wash.

An old mate of mine used to run a similar type of craft out of Waltham Abbey for boat tours, trips, events, and parties. Might be profitable for one or two craft but, not the whole fleet. If some of the craft are fitted out for holidays it could be profitable but, would think they would need to be skippered by professionals - large craft plus small waterway = carnage me thinks.
