VP is nothing but a troll. Witness yesterday, he was asked a completely reasonable question and what does he do, gleefully ignore it and point to yet another troll based link in a feeble attempt to derail the question.

He only does it for the attention....

The man couldn't debate his way out of a paper bag.

Says the boy with >50k posts of utter rubbish...

Plus you use the term troll entirely inappropriately.

Often used for someone who posts views you don't agree with, in reality.

If religious matters then. vip should read. 1 Corinthians 8:2 from the " New International Version 1984 " but I very much doubt he has the mental capacity to understand the meaning.

Ducking and rolling again are we?

All you have to do to prove me wrong is to answer peoples questions, stay on topic, not use diversionary tactics and debate the actual points raised.

I don't think you possess the debating skills to do that.

They are not answers, they are merely replies. You always reply, but I can't remember the last time one of your replies actually contained an answer.

Nail - head - Smack!

There was one vague attempt at an answer once - but sadly it drowned in the accompanying fairy dust & bullst!

I do understand your answers: you usually pick the most purile point to reply to and ignore anything that actually involves thinking. yes you did answer but it looks very like diversionary tactics when you look at which points you chose to answer. I think replying rather than answering sums up a lot of your posts quite well.
Case in point:

So are the references to Salmond by stupid names purile too? I'm just providing some parity.

And are you seriously saying that it would cost Scotland MORE not to have Trident? Really? Note that only the renewal of Trident will cost at least £35BN...

The fact that England and Wales do means testing does not mean that it is cost efficient...

Edited by ViperPict on Friday 5th October 22:57
So Scotland can afford all the benefits handed out at the moment then?
Remove trident and the cases attached to it and that's 5000direct jobs gone. Plus whatever indirect jobs.
I think most of the stupid names started from north of the border. I know I started using Scalmond when I got bored of some of your stupid names. I don't know who started it. Who is wee Jimmie crankie?
If you mean the real one then you need to slap yourself.

If you mean the SG politician, have a wild guess based on appearances...

Must try harder...

Just looked it up. too young sorry. the appearance doesn't help. the Wikipedia page could be salmond.....if I had my eyes shut.
Anything to say about the rest of my comments?
Firstly, your nickname Scalmond doesn't even work! Don't just try and copy Scameron (that DOES work as a play on words!). Some originality please. 2/10. wink

And other than the naysayers on here, there's not been much talk about those matters as yet.
Round and round we go... Well, when your politicians decide to actually start a discussion has already been part of this discussion, in the meantime, many people have tried to broach these things, to very little response.

EU membership
Fiscal policy
Defence policy
Taxation policy
National currency
and so on, and so forth.

All these things, and many more can be found within these threads. All of these things are perfectly valid discussion topics when it comes to a potential independent nation. All of these things we will apparently have to wait for the get go by Alex. When he is ready, THEN we can talk about it, seemingly, as the pro-independence people seem reticent to talk about it in this thread.

It does beg the question... If you do not want to talk about these things on this thread, then what do you want to talk about on this thread?
We go back to the basic issue. You are caught up in the deterministic approach, I am not. We have fundamentally different ways of approaching this but you can't get your head around that and insist that I try and explain all the detail using your restrictive philosophy. How about you use the theory I propose to tell me why independence won't work?
Sure, go for it. Explain away.
I am asking TH to explain why my approach is in error. Are you also suggesting that he should or misinterpretting what I wrote?
I have misunderstood. I was hoping you were going to use your theory to explain why it will work. Not have someone use your theory about why it won't.

Seeing as I don't know your theory can you explain it?
I'm still waiting for this one to be answered.

Nothing compared with how it will be post independence with border controls. Not going to happen? Well how do you explain how Scotland will avoid being in Schengen?
Ach, don't worry, there's two years to deal with that wee challenge!
And why is that going to make any difference? Putting your head in the sand and ignoring the difficult questions in the hope that they will magically go away rarely works.
I was being facetious. The campaigns are barely off the ground and I doubt very much that this little nugget has been overlooked. So I fully expect to hear more as and when it's appropriate.
I expect we will, from the No campaign, and from the SNP it will be something that they keep quiet about because they have no answer to it.
Edinburger, when would you like the issues to be addressed? How much time do you think is reasonable to openly discuss the issues before the vote?
And this one from Edinburger.

yes
VP has repeatedly asserted that his way is the right way, and no-one else understands his reasons. He still has not given them, apart from 'it will be the same' or some such. The actual lack of discussion on his part, for someone who seems to picture himself as some sort of brainiac, is astounding.
