Deluded blue nose?
Deluded independence supporter failing to wind up someone who is very happy to be Scottish and British, and able to keep sect/football team out of a debate?

Steady on with the language. By all means insult them if they are avoiding a question you asked, or ignoring the obvious, (hehe), but you seem to be getting nasty without really actually discussing anything. At least broach some points, or subject matter first.
Interesting post rolleyes
So you have gotten angry because I thought his posts were a bit derogatory? Fine. No pleasing some people.

I'm quite happy to be British too. By some definitions, I'm more British that you are, in all probability. But Scotland can be independent and Scots still able to call themselves British. Shame that you decide your position on something as important as our constitution is based on what football team you support...

Whose posts were derogatory? This thread has been littered with derogatory posts. And I don't deny that some have come from me. Did someone go 'too far'?

Ah i see the shields have fallen from my eyes

Oh praise the high lord of the McForce

I understand

I don't support independence because of the football team i support

The facts i've never actually watched a football match, I hate football, i'm not aware of actually supporting a football team, don't care nor understand about the offside rule and have no idea what connection football has with Scottish independence are completely irrelevant

Someone was giving you 2, (Edinburger and yourself), grief, but was not actually giving any points, or subject matter of their own. I merely commented on it. Apparently that upsets Edinburger.

It seems said poster deleted their posts.

There certainly is NOT the consensus from companies that they consider the upcoming referendum a reason not to invest!
Nobody said there was a 'consensus'? Indepence debate = uncertainty. Uncertainty = risk = bad = relatively lower investment.

Short.

Sweet.
For some independence = potential opportunity

I wasn't speaking about you. Not everyone who is a NO bases their position on a football. But a large proportion of those that support a certain football team do...

OK. I was a bit confused at who you referring to with the lack of an apparently overly derogatory post.

I think it is indeed pathetic what influences someone's vote, yes.

I've read that link a few times now and I'm still not sure what it means. What is the reference to 26,000 responses?

Anyway, this angle suggests that Scameron is just playing lip service to the independence issue...

Not sure if he cares or not about the Union, hard to tell.

Apologies in advance for the poor quality of the linked periodical, I don't subscribe to it. wink
Given that we have more pandas in Scotland than Conservative MPs I doubt very much if he cares that much.

Probably just lip service. We know all about the Labour vote, etc., etc.
I've explained the internal tory view before - long term losing 5m socialist voters is a good thing, short term, no leader of any political party wants to preside over the separation of Scotland from the union.

It's not really lip service, it's just not that important in the grand scale of things and unlike Scotland which needs to take a huge leap of faith, the rest of the UK remains in pretty much the same place with or without Scotland.
Do you think it warrants >30 seconds of his speech at their conference?
Sounds about right, that's about a second each for each of the Scots who don't vote socialist.

They're trying to make it sound good that they asked 26,000 people 'do you want a referendum?' and 1,000 said no, 3,000 said yes and 22,000 said don't care really just shut up when going on.
