Seriously, if this is true.....

Who gives a flying fk? Whether or not the Obamas had marital issues in the past is immaterial to me. However if he was literally in the midst of a divorce right now I'd say its relevant as it would likely distract him from the job at hand.

But if in the past he was nearly divorced? Who cares. And in all honesty if Michelle and him were truly able to get past that and work things out then its quite admirable of them.

If it turns out that he dealt cocaine as has been floated, then that's more of an issue to me as that makes him a felon.

On the other hand, if either of these scenarios are true they would hurt a Republican candidate far more than a Democratic one.

Being happily married is quite important when getting elected.
I'm not saying that's a good thing, that's just how it is.
Jim McGreevey was single (divorced from his first wife) and had difficulty getting elected, so they got him a new one
After getting married he was elected Governor of New Jersey.

However it was not a happy marriage as Jim had a boyfriend

He was soon the ex governor of NJ

He was outed because he put his boyfriend on the payroll.
We did not relish paying for his recreactional pastime with our taxes.

Haha- actually they sent two (something to do with federal vs full ballots) - the one photographed is not the one that was sent back, so no laws broken

And so does the rest of the Middle East that isnt Iran. Israel doing their dirty work for them and removing nuke capability is party time for every govt in the area. Nobody wants Iran to have a nuclear capability, it is pretty much entirely friendless in this regard...whether you think this is fair or not. Its just tough titty for the Iranians.
