Who needs a court, you've already decided.
That's so deliciously ironic, it deserves a quoting.I seem to remember a whole lot of Police officers intimating the Government Minister was guilty, without any trial and simply on the basis of what looks like being misconduct by at least one Police officer.
Hypocritical, ill thought out nonsense which is unfortunately all too prevalent from some around here.
It's only another in a sequence of witch hunts
First it was a minister now a police officer
The radio is now saying whoever the officer was, who is alleged to have leaked the words from a minister to a member of parliament who is alleged to have leaked to the press, was not present at the time.
Thats separate from the original officer who its said has written in his book what he thought the minister had said.
Thats not to say thats what the minister actually said
None of us claim to hear everything correctly.
The minister claims he said something different and unless it's recorded only he will know
Meanwhile the Beeb is suggesting these new reports may clear the ministers name
As far as I know the minister hasnt been shown to be guilty of anything so doesnt need his name clearing unless its in the eyes of court Beeb.
Is it all a deck of premises built on a previous layer of premises with people at each stage subjected to trial by media
What's the end result?

I think M Joe was referring to the taser v blind man case, not Gategategate.I seem to remember a whole lot of Police officers intimating the Government Minister was guilty, without any trial and simply on the basis of what looks like being misconduct by at least one Police officer.

It's beginning to look like we can't trust anyone, isn't it!
Indeed. Did this BiB not allow others to believe it was a MoP who was near the incident with a nephew (but was not) who sent the email? And the email content wasn't in fact eye witness testimony but a slightly altered text from the DT? If so, no wonder the BiB has been arrested. Is this not AtPtCoJ?It's beginning to look like we can't trust anyone, isn't it!
Not just that one policeman
but the police federation came out and said "he did not say what he said" after the meeting which thankfully for The chief whip was recorded.
This was a police stitch up.
fk me people I'm almost having some sympathy for a fking Tory MP.
(work keyboard gets a but sticky and I can't spell for st.)

There's another thread on SP&L about the whole 'plebgate' thing with some of our BiB contributors. Will be interesting to see what they make of it all...
