When will people wake up and realise that this is the norm with this religion.

Their 'holy book' teaches them that any non-muslim is inferior, little better than an animal and to be denigrated and enslaved at every opportunity.

Sadly I believe that if, or when, the silent majority in this country do realise what has happened during their torpor it will be too late, their way of life will be gone forever.

This is as much a one off as a police cover up.

I've seen it happen in mosques all over the place. The overt beatings are better controlled than they once were. The teaching of hatred not so.

I just don't understand why everywhere that involves the educating of our children is not legislated. I'm seeing some things similar within some of our newer 'black' Christian churches and Sunday Schools.

I wouldn't just close the school. I'd have a systematic overhaul of the entire supplementary school sector and bring in a code of conduct alongside an inspection regime. I'd make everyone of them pay an annual license that funds this.

And there I was thinking that the highest levels of the Catholic Church covering up generations of ongoing systematic child abuse was a pretty poor show.

Now, an issue with a single school shows that it is not religion that is the problem, but Islam.

Why are you making the assumption that the general PH concensus is that Islam is bad and every other religion is good?

We are discussing the protests by some idiots which have naturally lead to other unsavoury elements of the faith. If we had started a thread on Catholic protests we would have naturally ended up on the Catholic pedeophile topic.

How is commenting on extremist and hate filled ideas being taught to children stereotyping anyone? Does every comment on Islam have to have "other religions and beliefs are avaliable" at the end?

What will be done I wonder... and what would be done if teachers in a 'normal' school were filmed beating children? Watches this space with no sense of anticipation.

Religion = 'get out of jail' card for all but the most serious offences, And not even always then, it seems.

That report is over twelve months old. IIRC there were denials, claims from the school that they didn't know it was going on, claims that Senior Pupils took it upon themsleves to teach some of the hate filled crap. Can't remember if anyone was sacked. Anyway, the school is "alive and well" and taking puils. The reality is that in that part of Birmingham, the authorities are too scared to take action and quite clearly there is a demand for this type of Education.

I would hazard a guess that it is still going on, it's just that those involved are being more carefull.
