19 of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi, and who do we go after? Not the people providing the funding, personnel, or ideology!

Even the serious fraud office were told to stand down after UK bribes to Saudi were supposed to happen in return for arms deals.

don't forget Bin Ladens origins
Yep, him too.

I personally don't like the double standards we have with countries that we have massive trade relationships with us. I mean we'd invade Afghanistan and Iraq and talk about extremism, and ignore the elephant in the room?

Big Brother USA looking after them... wonder how US politicians, past and present, are in the hoc to the Saudis.

..Then you have the Pakistani grooming gangs; the same posters will suggest ths is something to do with"Islam", ignoring the fact that it contradicts Islamic preaching about extra marital sex, drinking alcohol, or using drugs.
So should the Muslims seem to be guilty of all such preaching. do they get kicked out of the Mosque?
Preaching about sex only within marriage, no alcohol, and no drugs? Nope theyre pretty fundamental in Islam (at least the version that I was taught).
Perhaps a point worth considering might be that the things that happen in Mosques/Catholic chrches/ faith schools are in fact as a result of the teachings/attitiudes/circumstances one finds there?

So for example, the unacceptably high incidence of Catholic clergy abusing children ( I honestly don't recall many/any incidents involving CoE clergy) might possibly be a result of the fact that these clergy are required to be celibate for their entire adult lives. The rules maketh the problem. Their position of trust and the power of hell and damnation they appeared to hold over their young victims essentially ensured the cover up continued for as long as it did.
An added factor here being the concept of confession/absolution that allowed the sinners to reset their "guilt meters" each week!

Likewise, in the case of the Muslim Paedo gangs could it not be the case that attitudes taught in some Mosques/schools about non muslims being dirty kuffars with little or no value before God essentially allows the perpetrators to see their victims as not human and therefore the crimes committed against them as "not really counting" (both in the eyes of their religion and their communities) An Imam with any kind of negative agenda in this regard could create a climate that fosters awful behaviour without actually having to tell his followers to go out and grab a kiddie.....

Essentially what I am outlining here is a relgiously triggered route to abuse that is abhorrent to the majority of those who would practice the religion, but which in essence is practically a guaranteed by product of the religion through the inherent flaws contained therein
^excellent post, and food for thought scratchchin
Not really. You just have to think logically.
Going without sex for a while does not turn you into a homosexual paedophile as any married man on here will tell you. I dont look at my wife and think "Hmmm, headache again. Right, Im off to fk a little boy". Further, if those Catholic clergy suddenly think 'Hmmm, sod this celibacy vow, Im gagging for a shag. SOrry God, but needs must.." why wouldn't they break thier vow with a woman instead?
Similarly, the muslim 'paedo gangs' aren't actually paedos. There is a massive difference between an underage girl and a pre-pubescent one. I don't disagree that a lot of muslim men have a very low opinion of women who have had sex outside marriage due to thier religion, but why would this make them groom specifically underage girls? There are plenty of actual slags or actual prostitutes that they could use instead.

It doesnt make sense at all

I think it's about availability and vulnerability. The bottom line is, no woman with any self-respect would allow themselves to even talk or pass any time with some of these cretins, but these young girls were in care, and no one gave a st about them, not least their parents, therefore their own self-perception was also probably terribly poor, and consequently their judgement of whom to consort with was also poor, their young age meant they did not have the life experience to realise that these were a bunch of sick weird men. I do think that those men justified their actions to themselves because they felt those girls were worthless, and that perception has lots of reasons behind it, some of which have been discussed already. The other issue is that they'd have to pay for prostitutes, and deal with a pimp who might beat the st out of them if there was anything untoward, and actual slags might be a touch more discerning, regarding these disgusting men.

So, we're agreed then.

Nothing wrong with religion. It's just when people get involved with it there are problems.

Enough to tell them to ps off with their vile hatred of non muslims and to stop this st corrupting kids in state education.
I've said this before many times. This supplementary school system, ffs put in some clear legislation and inspection regime to ensure that it safeguards and protects our children. Make every one of these institutions pay a licence fee to set up and an annual subscription and use that to inspect.

A Muslim young child will easily spend 2 hours a day, 5 days a week in one of these schools between the ages of 5-16. As a child I was in some ways lucky, the mosques were run by old men who had strong civic values and sought to incorporate their faith and its teachings to wider society.

These Saudi funded institutions are bringing in teachings that are a far far away place from what I experienced as a child. Yet our government will not do anything because of our trade links and the courting of the Arab rich.

Many members of the IRA were from Eire, but we didn't invade the republic after every terrorist atrocity.

Thankfully not. But then you didn't invade France using the IRA bombings as justification either.

Religions are created by humans to define a moral framework and try to explain things they don't understand.
Thats exactly what I wrote in an RE lesson, 33 years ago, when I was at High School. The teacher was a the actual head of the school and was a vicar. He wasn't too impressed with my comments and he wrote on my essay that I should come and see him.
I never did, but I must have hit a nerve. Truth hurts and all that.

it makes me sick to my stomach that this disgusting religion appears to be gaining traction and there seems to be very little that our government will do to condemn these mindless idiots who parade our streets calling for our morals and beliefs to be censored. Sick.
When can we start flushing them out of the country, by any means? Surely that's the way this is going. British people are blind to it.

Reading tgat back I might seem like a bigot but I'm not. But these people are so provocative and infuriating. It's strange I feel this way as one of my best friends is a Muslim. As we got older he drifted away. You can guess why.

Based on what you've posted, I'm afraid you are a bigot. The definition of "a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially: one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance" seems pretty accurate. As I've said repeatedly, the actions of a few idiots do not justify you making comments that reflect on every single individual in a certain group.

"They?" Who are they? I suspect Countdown is one of them, that you'd like to ship out of this country wholesale. Or are you only referring to people who espouse extremist beliefs? If so then I would guess he and others would agree.

Its interesting that you cannot see coundown as something different. I bet he does.

I Suspect countdown nor yourself really are not the 'they' he refers to or inded I when I ask questions regarding the subject.

I suspect, he has had similar experience to myself I lived in the midlands for 10 years and the 'they' I met on a daily basis were not educated professionals like yourself and countdown.

The 'they' I met were angry young men who basically hated the people and country in which they lived. I suspect these attitudes are born in the mosques where white women for just for fking and '20 years' was often said while bursting out laughing.

Countdown himself recounted a story of one of his relatives who wear traditional dress because others who don't are sluts. These are the people I believe he is referring to people who's culture is so alien they want to stay a separate group and have nothing to do with the indigenous population.

I have been to luton once a bunch of people wearing white saw me, crossed the road to shoulder barge me and then all Burst out laughing. I'm sure yourself and countdown would condemn that kind of behavior but its happening. I don't know if they where from Pakistani origin but chances are they were.

You may not be able to understand that when I ask what I feel are legitimate questions regarding immigrants from places like Pakistan I am not questioning all immigrants and bunching all together like you seem to think I 'we' are.
