Does this mean after his trial in the US, will he be returned to the UK after his sentence? I hooking hope not!
good question...I think that's why he was so keen to get a british passport, not sure if he ever gained UK citizenship?
Joking apart, the death penalty is not an option. If it were, Hamza could not be extradited to the US from the UK or any EU member State.
By the way, critics of UK-US extradition policy may be interested to learn that the US has not refused a single UK extradition request, but the UK has refused seven US requests, since the latest treaty was made.

I just heard that, plane ready and waiting with US Marshalls on it
Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out!
As soon as he's there - he ain't coming back IMO.
Interesting. As he boards the plane and sits looking out at the bright lights of Heathrow, I wonder if he will reflect a minute on the steps that got him to this point. I wonder, if in the scheme of things it has been 'worth it' for him. Once stateside, he will become little more than a footnote in this country's recent history. What a way to end a life of liberty.

Won't be Heathrow. Will be somewhere far more private than that! (IE US Base)Breadvan72 said:

Please don't bring facts into this, the Twitter set is already full of idiots trying to compare this to Labour agreeing to go to war with Iraq alongside America.
