Apparently fighting for a group - described as moderate and funded by UK and US - against Assad. Also 'critical' of ISIS.

Rubbish article.

He was there on a humanitarian mission, giving out aid packages and helping to evacuate civilians whose homes had been destroyed by US and UK airstrikes.

He is a devout Muslim, a credit to the religion of peace and tolerance.

The ones that are funded by the US and UK aren't necessarily moderate.....which poses an interesting question. Individuals can be prosecuted for funding terrorism. Can Governments be prosecuted for doing so? And is it only "Terrorism" when the other side are doing it?

And likes to wear camo whilst being photographed next to rocket launchers. Or was that on a different 'mission'.

Prior to this case we were told that making someone stateless was in violation of several international treaties and laws so it was only those with dual citizenship who were targeted by the government. But this latest move would suggest otherwise.

It does beg the question as to why this has not been done for anyone else who went to Syria to fight and then returned to the UK.

Not quite. He hasnt been made Stateless, merely had his passport revoked. He is a BC by birth and that can't be revoked.

The other examples are of Naturalised Citizens who hold dual Nationality and have had BC revoked.

He can still come back by presenting himself at a UK border crossing (and can't be refused entry) but the trick with this one is how he gets there.

No international laws broken, so all good.

What an excellent plan! You would have thought such lateral thinking would be beyond employees of our Government. Maybe the smart ones are given the freedom now the time servers are working on Brexit.

Since when did prisoners get a choice of what prison they got sent to?
"Ooh , this one looks nice,it's got soft bedding, tolerant jailers, and guaranteed bum rape in the shower. Oh, buts it's a bit far from the seaside. Can I go to Guantanamo instead?"
